Question about JVC TH-M505 System
Sounds to me like your center speaker is either not connected, or somehow not working. The not working part could be explained by a failed speaker or, possibly a failed amp in the unit.

I checked all you listed. Come to find out that the kids were pusing buttons on the remote and DVD player. Thus changing the surround sound. Could not believe it. All the time wasted. So, if you have kids, don't doubt the system and check things the kids can get into. Also, don't expect them to say anything about what they did. This will only frustrate you and send you down the wrong path. We have a ghost in the house. His name is "Not Me...". Oh, even in this high tech world, kids seem to always find the most vulnerable spots. Even when we parents are still trying to figure out all this high tech stuff and gadgets. What does the future hold for my grandkids? Scares me to think about what future gadgets they can get into. What ever happened to the PBJ stuffed in the eight track player? Thanks for the response.
