I just bought the phone, so it has yet to successfully connect to wifi.
I have a linksys b/g wireless access point. The SSID is broadcast, authentication open, and no encryption. I use a mac filter list to allow wireless users and I've triple-checked the phone's entry.
On the phone, I have set the wireless to best performance. It doesn't find any networks on its own. I've added the SSID and it says unavailable. I click connect, it says ''connecting'' then unavailable. I have several other wireless devices working fine so it is definitely a phone issue.

Unusual problem. Check the settings to make sure theirs not a way to disable Caller ID. Give Verizon a call and see if they can find out whats going on.

I think this is it:

You can always try and reprovision your phone and resend the Host Routing Table (HRT) but if it is constantly dropping service it is probably a hardware issue and not something that can be permanently fixed. It could also be a radio issue but I would take it back and request a new one.

Dial *228, then when prompted to do so by the automated system, press 1. After it says: "Your phone has been programmed successfully", press "OK" or "Done". When you press that, the phone will automatically power off, then back on. Once the phone has powered back on, the unlock code will now be the last four digits of the phone number.

You will have to make sure the carrier that your trying to use allows other carrier phones on there system. If they do then you will have to get it flashed over. You can contact wireless image in denver co. They can answer all your questions.

only thing different for me is that Imy phone will see and connect to the network but when I try to "Open a Path" in file explorer it says that it can not connect with current settings. Oh well I will continue tinkering with it.
