HTC XV6800 Wireless network unavailale

I just bought the phone, so it has yet to successfully connect to wifi.

I have a linksys b/g wireless access point. The SSID is broadcast, authentication open, and no encryption. I use a mac filter list to allow wireless users and I've triple-checked the phone's entry.

On the phone, I have set the wireless to best performance. It doesn't find any networks on its own. I've added the SSID and it says unavailable. I click connect, it says ''connecting'' then unavailable. I have several other wireless devices working fine so it is definitely a phone issue.

only thing different for me is that Imy phone will see and connect to the network but when I try to "Open a Path" in file explorer it says that it can not connect with current settings. Oh well I will continue tinkering with it.

Unusual problem. Check the settings to make sure theirs not a way to disable Caller ID. Give Verizon a call and see if they can find out whats going on.

You can always try and reprovision your phone and resend the Host Routing Table (HRT) but if it is constantly dropping service it is probably a hardware issue and not something that can be permanently fixed. It could also be a radio issue but I would take it back and request a new one.

SOURCE: Need unlock code for Verizon Wireless Motorola V325i

Dial *228, then when prompted to do so by the automated system, press 1. After it says: "Your phone has been programmed successfully", press "OK" or "Done". When you press that, the phone will automatically power off, then back on. Once the phone has powered back on, the unlock code will now be the last four digits of the phone number.

Can not connect ipad to router

If your Linksys wireless router is already setup with a wireless network, do the following to connect the ipad to the network:

Tap the Settings icon on the home screen of the iPad. Go to General, then Wifi. Once in the wifi section, you should see available wireless networks. Choose the network that is setup on the Linksys and connect to it. Enter the password if you have one set on the wireless network and tap join.

If your linksys is not setup with a wireless network, consult the manual for it to configure it properly.

I have a Linksys wap54g wireless router and it has just started dropping the signal. My DSL modem that it is connected to is working fine. I have powered off and reset multiple times but without much...

If you recently started using cordless phones that use the 2.4GHz frequency spectrum, this can cause your WiFi signals to drop-out.
Other forms of interference can come from:
  • Microwave ovens
  • Bluetooh enabled devices
  • Other nearby WiFi routers/APs using the same channel
Additionally, if you haven't secured your router using WPA/WPA2 security, a neighbor may be leeching off of your WiFi network and download files on P2P networks. This would cause your router to become saturated with traffic and appear to crash. Make sure that your router is properly secured with WPA/WPA2 security (not WEP, since it can be cracked within a few minutes) and make sure that you change the admin password.

When i select my Linksys WiFi connection on my Iphone I still has the "E" edge symbol on my Status bar even though wifi is selected.

You can tell iPhone is connected to the Internet over a cellular data network if you see ht1695_utms_onb.png,ht1695_3b.jpg or ht1695_gprs_onb.png in the status bar at the top of the screen.

Do you have problems connecting to any other wireless network with your iPhone?

Have you tried using the forget this network option on your iPhone for your wireless network followed by trying to connect to the network again, and/or using the reset network settings option on your iPhone which erases all previously saved wi-fi connections that you have successfully connected to with your iPhone?
Let me know....
