I'm having a problem with my RCA lyra. It only lets me play certain songs. It starts skipping during certain songs. I downloaded about 200 songs on it. and when I opened it it only marked 47 songs. Sometimes it freezes at the RCA logo.
I plugged it into the back of my computer. IN my "My Computer"file it appears as F but then my "My computer" file doesnt respond. I can't access the song list to change or alter it. I cant even get to the properties. I'm using a PC.
I had the same thing happen to my Lyra tc1001a.
to fix it I had to go to the command prompt and format the drive C:\format G:
this does erase everything on your lyra though hope you have your songs backed up...

Well, all I did is search the whole house to find the USB cable for my Mp3 player. Once I found that, I plugged it into the player and computer, then I erased EVERY song on the Mp3. Lastly I coppied the songs to the Mp3, and BINGO, I could play every song I put on the player.
It sounds like your Friend,Try to load something to your Player,Take the model 3 and make and Put it in the Browser and look for the Proper Software For it you might lose the music you have on it,But at least,It will Work
You have to subscribe to be able to play any tracks downloaded from URGE or REAL or anyplace like that. Once the trial is up you have to pay to be able to hear them. I found out after spending days filling my player full of music. I ended up deleting all and transferring tracks from CD's or actually paying to download tracks.
