High pitched whining noise from bottom of dishwasher
I have had a Baumatic BDW for about 2 years now. A few months ago it started to make a whining noise when operating. It seems to be coming from the bottom arm, possible the motor that turns it. Not sure if something might have got stuck or if the motor is making the noise. Any advice would be greatly appreciated, as the noise is getting pretty annoying! Scott.

Re:
The arms are only turned by water coming out of them thro angled jets, they are not electrically driven. the noise will be coming from the circulating pump, probably one of the bearings. no cure except to replace

A loud high pitch whine while running the dishwasher means that there is something caught in the chopper assembly. To get to the chopper assembly you need to take the racks out and take the pump apart from the inside of the dishwasher. The chopper assembly looks like a metal grate with holes in it. And it might not even be stuck in the grate but somewhere in the pump area due to the water being pumped out, so the best idea is to take the whole thing apart and clean everywhere. However I do not recommend doing this unless you are completely certain you will remember where the screws and gaskets go, otherwise you risk damaging your pump or house from a leak or improper installation. Maybe a stretched transfer case chain.
I wouldn't rule out some trans issues
Got the correct fluid in transfer or proper level
The clunk sounds like ,U-joints
Check all the mounts on everything, trans, transfer.etc
Searched for a nylon rope guide for a Baumatic BDW 9 but was unable to locate one. I found that many of the components for the BDW 9 also fitted the BDW 10. So I searched for the rope guide for a BDW 10 and found the correct product. Problem solved!
How deep do you want to get into this?It sounds like the wash pump motor bearings that are worn. You can pull the unit out flip it over and wd40 the bearings in the motor or you can replace the bearings.Try to lube them first.
