try at E-bay.search " Sony XXXXXXX( TV model number) compatible Remote"otherwise search over the google then you could get the Remote model number .it might be RM-XXXX. If you don't have PIP (Picture in Picture) RM-869 can be used
Many TV functions can be controlled from the on-screen menus using buttons on the TV itself. These include all kinds of settings however Sony did not include PIP in these menus. Therefore a valid remote is required to operate PIP. One thing you could try is removing the cable from the secondary input on the TV which provides the signal for the other picture. Without an input signal PIP may be disabled. Also, try buying a universal remote and setting the proper code for your TV. Original remote could be hard to find but remotes.com may have one.
I had the same problem many times, and I don't have the original remote. Go into your menu options and select Auto-Program. It will run through all your channels, but when it is done, PIP will be off !! I have PIP!
WELL I need some more information so I be able to assist you, first , it could be that the REMOTE CONTROL is not that came with the TV originally , and since all SONY remote control have the same basic codes ,it could be that the remote doesnt have this specific feature. I did some research base on the model of this TV , the original remote control model num. is RM-Y127 and
not RM-Y153 , maybe thats why it doesnt have the PIP feature. hope this info been helpful
you do NOT need to buy the original remote!! press the setup button on the front of the tv, then you will see a menu and you want to select auto set up by pressing the volume minus button and then the tv will automatically start to scan for channels and pip will be gone! Pain in the booty but save you from buying original remote!!
If you have the original remote for this TV on the pip menu (left side slider on remote all the way up) there is a pip off button. If you unplug the unit long enough it should go back to normal. If you go into demo mode and then exit mode you will again be out of the pip. With out the original remote you cannot easily turn pip off.
I had this problem with a universal remote.I tried everything you can think of.Finally I got it.I hit the setup button on top of tv and the volue down button to start the demo.I dont know exactly how long it ran but after awhile I hit a button and screen was normal...Yeah
i can't turn off the pip
