Camera. Have updated drivers and software. Still cannot get the pics off my card and onto my hard drive. Talked on line to a Sony rep, what a waste of time that was.

ALTERNATE WAY TO TRANSFER PHOTOS TO COMPUTER
If your photos are stored on the memory card, then removethe memory card from the camera and insert it into an USB memory card reader.Connect this USB memory card reader and memory card into the USB port of yourworking computer. Your computer will see this as an USB Mass Storage Device oran external storage device; you can then open the folder on the memory card andcopy the photos to your computer.Memory card reader is a handy device and is inexpensive. Youcan copy photos from other cameras and you can also download photos off yourmemory card to someone else's computer without the need of installing anyprograms.

SOURCE: pc cant recognize the camera on the USB port

What is the Pc doing that shows you it is not recognizing the camera?
Have you looked in My computer at your drives to see if it is showing there? For some reason mine sometimes shows up my F drive instead of my camera drive. Then you can just click on the drive and open the folder for the photos.

Cant get computer to recognize web cam

The Quickcam Pro 9000 is only compatible with PC, Windows XP SP2 at least.

If your virtual PC runs Windows 7, there is a known issue running it in Windows 7. If this is the case, I suggest to contact the manufacturer.

There is one made for MAC though; QUICKCAM vision PRO. Manufacturer's part number is 960-000254.

Hope this helps! Please don't forget to rate or vote. All the best!

USB Device not Recognized

The camera should have come with software which includes the correct drivers. Did you install the drivers before connecting the camera? The camera simply may not be compatible with your OS.

Xp home doesn't recognize

I don't think XP pro vs XP home would make a difference here. Did your camera come with a driver disk? You might need to install some software for your computer to recognize the camera.

Another easier way is to just get a card reader. I picked one up for about 15 bucks and it reads every kind of card imaginable. I use Google's Picasa software (www.picasa.com) on Windows, it recognizes when a memory card has been plugged in and goes right to the screen where you can start importing your pics.

Dxg 202v software

you don't need any drivers for this camera
if you have windows xp,it should just work
I just got me .the same type of camera ,got it as a gift
came home.plugged it and my windows XP recognized it right away
it install the drivers right there and then, everything was done automatically
try and go to "system device" and see if there is any yellow mark on the usb area
if there is one, then do a driver update.
good luck!!
