which software are you using to look at the files on the computer? - the problem may be with that.
this link gives you the details of how to update the firmware for your player - this hopefully would solve the issue and is worth it anyway.

Hope this helps :)

It sounds like your player may have got corrupt, easy fix, connect your player, go My Computer in the start menu, this will allow your see your player, right click on your mp3 player and select format (quick format). This will get rid of any bad files. Now simply copy your music back on to your player. Let me know how this works for you.
ummm.... im not really sure about the mp3 itself but i can give it a try.Okay plug the mp3 into the Computer using a usb or w/e is uses to put music on them. You should get a what to do with this device, so scroll down till you see View folders or what ever at the bottom and open and delete the music you dont
Actually after some searching it is VERY easy to manage the c250, you
just have to know how to connect it. You must connect it to read as MSC format. To do this, put on the hold feature and press and hold the rewind/previous track button as you connect it. This will open it up as a removable disc. So just drag and drop whichever songs you want from the MUSIC folder. You may also delete individual songs that are already on there. Hope this helps, works for me. Fox
hi on my computer double click on the iriver icon and the folders data and media will show up. double click on the media folder and double click on the music folder all the files stored on the player will show up chose the ones you wanna delete and right click on it then press delete. This will take off all the files you dont want.
umm..i have a suggestion... maybe there was a program in the player that wasnt meant to be deleted and WAS deleted by accident - maybe u should check if there is anything missing in your player other than the music that was lost.
Im not sure this'll work but its just a check to make sure thing! bye
hmm... try hooking it up to the pc, go to my computer find the mp3 click explore go to music and select it all and delete it then try again it might help
the file you are trying to copy might not be
an mp3 file.
mp4 files, and i-tunes files will not open on an mp3 player, they only show up as data. quite simply, you need an audio converter.
dude thanks it helped i meen it deleted all my songs but its better cause i get to strt over thanks homie
