Self clean feature on coffee pot

I have lost my manual for my Cuisinart 12 cup programmable coffee pot. I put in water and a smaller amount of brewed coffee comes out. I have also cleaned it with a CLR solution and it still does not drip the amount of water I intended it to brew. Also the self clean light is now on and blinking and I don't know how to use this feature. Any ideas? Thanks.

please explain more, I don't have the manual. Let the vinegar / water solution sit in the resevour overnight and not brew it through? Do I push the self clean button? I don't think that function is broken, it is just blinking at me each time I brew coffee.

    Thank you.

I'm a dork, I didn't see the link the first time I looked. Just cleaned it and it isn't flashing anymore.

    Thanks much!

The self cleaning button doesn't seem to be working anymore. It won't come on anymore although the coffee maker has calcium build-up. Because it doesn't come on I am unable to use the feature. It won't suck the vinegar mix water into the hose and hold it there anymore. I have tried to push it on my own and it will brew for a few minutes then the beeping will sound that indicates the brewing is done even though only a small amount of water has come through into the carafe. I have to keep pushing the self-clean button and turn the coffee maker on in order to get it to work for the few minutes it does. what is wrong? do I need a new appliance? This one is about 3 years old. Thanks!

Thank you so much for the link to cusinart's manual. My brewer leaked only a little of the 5 cups of brewed coffee. I looked inside and all the water was inside the water filter with the grounds. It was drinkable after I held the spring up to let the brewed coffee go through. I thought I was just going to have to recycle it. I think it will be fixed now. I'll let you know. Marci

I can t find the answer Here now, but someone posted to take out the filter on the left side in the back of coffee maker. I had tried the vinegar solution and it didn't work. I took it out, it was clogged with coffee grinds. I couldn't believe it had worked that long with all the junk in the filter. Anyway it is working fine now, like brand new. Who ever posted this answer, thanks a lot.

I put in 12 cups of water and only 4 cups come out with coffee what is wrong with this. It is only one month old

This occurs occasionally if the unit needs cleaning or you are brewing a new pot of coffee immediately after emptying a hot pot of coffee.
Run a cup of vinegar through the coffee maker twice, run at least 2 pots of clean water through to rinse the vinegar out.
This should clear the problem until it needs cleaning. The suggested frequency of cleaning is every 30 pots, but this varies depending upon the type of water you use.

You have an obstruction in the feed line to the heating element. I found coffee grounds before the check valve. I had to take the bottom off it which I am sure the manufacture wouldn't approve of but I was at my wits end and ready to toss it. I just brewed a full pot 10 minutes!!!

Clean the pot by brewing a full pot of undiluted vinegar, then rinsing it by brewing 2 full pots of water through it. Also, change the charcoal filter on a regular basis. We clean the pot this way every month and replace the filter every 2 months.

I do love our Cuisinart pot...but find they only last 2-3 years...so my suggestions is: if the pot is still in warranty, call Cuisinart for a new one...they are great about it. If you don't know if it is still in warranty, call them, give them the number and they will tell you.

Cusinart DGB 550BK coffee maker not working properly

Cuisinart Coffeemaker Decalcification Process

Run 2 cups distilled white vinegar and 2 cups water through the system - brew it like it was regular coffee. Then run plain water through the coffemaker to rinse the vinegar out and make sure the decalcification was successful. Repeat as needed. Don't forget to remove the charcoal water filters first.

Cuisinart DCC2000 quits brewing after 1or 2 cups

Finally, I got my coffee pot to run through without stopping several times. To fix it I had to run vinegar through eight times! Never before has it taken so many cycles to clean out a pot. It is still spluttering a bit so today I am going to get more vinegar or maybe even CLR and run it through a few more times.
