My SD card won't mount and won't read in my HTC TBolt, Samsung Galaxy, Nokia, or HP Laptop. If anyone knows a way to fix this, please let me know! And no I did not back it up...
I would try one of the many media recovery companies on-line. I recently read an article on this in PC magazine. You would probably want to do a search on the 10 best media recovery services and then get a list from an un-biased source like PC Magazine or Wired. The reason I started answering this question is that I had a simular situation in that I had a 3 year old micro SD card from San Disk that stopped working and I contacted SanDisk and they actually replaced it, but before thay replaced it I think they either had me download software or take some other action to get it to work. It's been so long ago I've forgotten the exact details, but your question reminded me of the situation. I didn't have information I cared about on my card, but this makes me think you might want to contact the manufacturer of your card, they may be able to provide a free solution. I was very surprised at what was done for me at Sandisk. I hope this helps and good luck.

Try using another SD card to see if that one will read. If so, there is a problem with your SD card.
But if that card is also unable to be read, and your phone is fully updated, there is a problem with the reader on your HTC handset. You can contact HTC for a repair or a replacement. You might even have some luck at the retailer where you originally bought your phone. It's a fairly new model.
