I purchased the Motorolla V265 cellphone and within the first month of owning it, the LCD time display on the front cover went dead and information on the inside screen went too. I still have picture but cannot see regular display info and incoming call information.

My problem is my inside screen went blank white. About a week ago the inside screen started to do weird stuff like one day it had multi colored snow. The next it went blank. The next it looked like liquid...

Hi,

there is nothing wrong with your screen, the problem is from the flex that connects your screen to the phone's main board. This flex must have worn out that's why your screen is not displaying any picture.

The problem is common with flip and slide phones. The flex gets worn out as a result of constant opening and close of the flip or slide phone.

I would urge you to replace the flex and I am assuring you that your screen will display picture again. You might also be lucky to find out that the flex is not well fix, that is, it may have loosed contact.

If you cannot change the flex yourself, maybe you should take the phone to a local repairer within your vicinity, so that the flex can be fixed/replaced.

Good luck.

Phone display is very dim-can barely read

Well, first you will have to check your options, if you can read it enough to get in there.  You may have the backlight turned off.  If the backlight is not turned off, then you probably have a bad backlight and will have to take it to your provider to get it fixed.  Replacing a screen/backlight is not something I would attempt to do unless you are certain you know exactly what you are doing as you can render the phone completely useless.

I had simmilar problems ie screen ok when closed but fuzzy when slid open, screen going blank etc.

Motorola RAZR V3 Cellular Phone

Ok so when I close my phone I still see the time and my background picture but no light immanates (hope I spelled that right)from the screen if thats what your saying that's normal. Now as far as the inside screen if you dropped it the connection that lets the phone know it's closed may be jarred lose and offset (not sayin u dropped it)although you say it dims. When you close your phone the inside screen should turn white and then turn off just barely have your phone open to check, if it does this then the connection is working. And you need another opinion.
