Question about Polaroid PDV-0700 Portable DVD Player

1 Answer

MIssing Part and I don't know what it is called

Hello, I have a portable DVD player (Polaroid PDV-0700) very old, and the middle part (the ring like the old 45 player plug) to keep the disc from going all over the place came out. It is gone. (Actually, when I pulled out the last movie in there, it stayed in the middle and back it went to Netflix!) So, now, I can't find out what this part is called in order to be able to order another one on-line. Please help!

I'm having a problem similar to those describe regarding the drop off of the picture during dvd playback. However I noitced that if I plug the player in directly, rather then just running it on the...

The problem of Polaroid DVD-players is too suggen cuttofs during playback. Usually there is no "low battery" warning 5 minutes before it just cuttofs. Usually it has 4 hours playback time.
Probably you need to replace the battery.
More information you can read here.

No video - just a white screen

So I am guessing you have audio and no video, your monitor has went out. you can check and see if ribbon cable is slightly uplugged, but maybe just a bad monitor. These happen usually from a drop or hard hit to the unit.
