How do you release the left margin in this typewriter?
Typewriters have alimit to how far to the right or left that you can set margins. Once you use the alt & 6 key to bypass the current margin setting then move to the new setting then hold the alt key and touch the 7 key to keep it in the new position.

Margin release. Press Return (for left position) or Tab key (for right position) in order to go left or right position in which your margin is set up. In order to margin release Press ALT and MREL together, then press again the Return or Tab key where your previous margin. Then you have to position a new margin and Press ALT and LMAR (for left margin) or RMAR (for right margin).

Move the typing mechanism to the left margin. Hold down the ALT key & the "6" key. That should release your margins & allow you to reset them.

How to release Right Margin?
can not set margins
CANNOT SET RIGHT MARGIN
My document that I use repeatedly is 11inches wide and the typing area is 9 inces wide. How do I set the margins so that I can have it that width. I now have to type half of one side then take it out and insert it again and type the other half.
I have followed the instructions and it doesn't seem to work. I have asked other people as well and they can't do it following the instructions.
Please help. Thanks
Thank you for advising on how to move the margins however, that is only half of it. Now what do I do to set the amrgins to where I would like to ahve them? Thanks
