Question about RIM BlackBerry 7250

1 Answer

Dropped calls Hi! I just recently bought a blackberry 7250 for the Verizon network for my hasband and have major problems since activating it everytime and I do mean everytime that he is on a phone call it drops service and is real fuzzy. I know that his other cell phone as well as my cell phone works at our house however the devil phone as we refer to it does not. All of the other functions seem to work at this point however we have only had it for one day and are ready to drive over it! Do you have any suggestions as to what may be wrong? At this point I am embarrassed to admit that I bought it off of Ebay. oops!!!! Thank you for any help that you may have! Nancy

Check out the following links for troubleshooting: http://uis.georgetown.edu/hardware/blackberry/bb.trouble.html#hard I would also call verizon and have them go over a few settings to ensure that you have the proper settings for your area. Did you dial *228 and then choose option 1 or 2? do both. You might want to wipe the unit clean with the blackberry software, and reactivate again.

How to get blackberry cdma by telus to work with

It is not possible to make a blackberry made for Telus to work on the Verizon network. Verizon will NOT activate any phone other than one sold for the Verizon network.

Can Unlocked Verizon Blackberry Be Used on AT&T?

Sadly, no - the blackberries that Verizon use are CDMA, and will only work on their network (in theory, they would work on Sprint, too - but in practice it's nearly impossible to get either network to activate a ESN that doesn't belong to one of their branded phones).

Initial setup with SIM card

This Blackberry uses the CDMA band, not GSM. It does not use a SIM card. You need to check with your wireless service provider to see if they offer a CDMA network.
