Have an AEG S7388KG fridge, approx 2 years old bought new. 2 weeks ago it stopped working, we changed the fuse and it appeared to be working again. It was OK until a couple of days ago when I noticed the food in the fridge was at room temperature and the freezer had defrosted. The internal lights are working. I switched it on and off again and it seemed to start working, I could hear it hum. It has now stopped working and I can't hear any noise when I turn it on. Please help!

Re: AEG fridge/freezer isn't working
This sounds like your fridge has a leak somewhere and it slowly discharged its refrigerant. the compressor can sustain damage when there is no refrigerant and often will hum and eventually fail.
Sorry but you may need a new compressor - if you were going to replace the fridge soon anyway then i would go ahead, but a compressor and the labour to fit it etc may be cheaper than a new fridge - you need a refrigeration repair man/shop (if you can take the fridge to a repair shop it will always be cheaper than calling a guy to your house)
Sorry i can't really help, but the symptoms are classic, if you are lucky then a technician may be able to fix the leak and restart the compressor, but not always
if you want to try something yourself just try tapping the compressor smartly but not too hard with the end of a dry wooden or plastic stick or similar with the fridge plugged in. the compressor is the thing at the bottom in the back that looks a bit like a small fuel tank, should be right in the middle and will be the largest thing in there. Just be careful not to break any copper tubes or touch any wires. Sometimes a stuck compressor can be freed this way, but you will almost certainly still need the leak fixing and a refill of refrigerant.
Sorry about the bad news
Hope this helps

It is possible that it is the thermostat, and if not as you hear the compressor starting shortly then stopping, and redoing that many times. Your compressor is certainly out of order and must be replaced by a professional, that means to dessolder the current compressor, and replace it with the new one, and change the gas. So major intervention and at least 2 hours of work. In the end, you will have a new heart for this great fridge.
Your question is: freezer is icing up and fridge temperature has risen to 10 from 5. Also alot of condensation in the fridge and the fan doesnt seem to be working in fridge. Correct temperature on freezer -18 but ice. new frost free fridge freezer bought 1.5 weeks ago
This is no problem for you. You are under warranty and as long as you have not tryed to repair it yourself you are completely covered. Look for the manufacturer's warranty phone number on the paper work that came with it or call the sales man, he will be happy to track that down for you because he wants repeat business.
If you bought it used the only answer is to return it. You could get a local pro to repair it at yuor own expense but I wouldn't recomend that for a frige only 1.5 weeks old!

Ok there is a thermal fuse mounted on the control board that shuts down when it gets too hot. Did you run a sanitize cycle? Even if customers dont use the sani cycle which i recommend the fuse may open due to poor wire connections. The new fuse kit comes with a new harness and new connectors. Check the old fuse to be sure its bad. Dont remove the connectors from the new switch at all - dont disturb them and they will work better.
