CD/DvD Drivers are standard and come with the windows operating system. You don't find cd/dvd drivers on the manufacturers site. You might find a patch to the hardware drive, but not drivers.

You mentioned writing drivers. I wonder if you mean software that writes (burns) to the cd/dvd. Later versions of Windows Media Player has burning capabilities.

Get online and got to www.google.com In the google search box type: "Acer Support" (without the quotes and put your manufacturer name before Support). Look for downloads and drivers. Enter your model number and operating system when requested. Download and install the drivers.

Basically you need the Windows installation CD plus the product installation code. Boot up with the Windows installation CD to install Windows on the hard disk, follow the on screen instructions - delete the existing Windows partition, create a new partition and format the new partition (full NTFS format - not a quick format) and continue with the installation.
Next you need to install the motherboard device drivers, you can download them from the motherboard manufacturer's WEB site from a computer with internet access. Copy these drivers onto an USB memory stick and insert this memory stick into you PC tower and install these drivers.
After installing these drivers you can now connect to the Internet to activate your Windows, You can activate Windows over the phone.

If you have forgotten your Windows login password then you can download a copy Hiren's Boot CD which is a CD image file (.ISO) then burn this to a blank CD and boot your laptop from this.

On the initial Hiren's boot menu, select the option for:
Offline NT/2000/XP/Vista/7 Password Changer
and then follow the guided prompts shown on the further menu panels.

This tool will allow you to reset your Windows login password to all blanks (i.e. no password).

If you have forgotten a BIOS level password then go to

XP usually loads usb drivers and some ethernet drivers.

If you have access to another computer copy the drivers onto a flash drive and try to install them from it.


If you have internet access with the mini 10 you can download them from dell support.

To install the printer you have to connect it to the PC/ laptop and install the drivers for the operating system you have on your PC. If you have the drivers CD, you can use it to install the drivers. Insert the CD in to the CD ROM Drive and follow the on-screen instructions. If you don't have the disk, you may download the driver from the official Ricoh support site.

From the above link you can download/ install the required drivers . Download all the files listed under the version of the operating system you have on your PC. Run/ Install them one by one. These files include printer drivers, scanner drivers, usb drivers etc.

The laserjet 4 is a standard driver already included in windows xp. You shouldn't actually need to download anything. When installing the printer you should be able to choose HP from the list and then navigate to HP Laserjet 4 in the list. When you do this it may need the windows disk if you don't have the i386 directory copied to your PC. If that's the case then just pop in the windows CD and point it to "CD-Rom"\i386 and it should find the drivers on its on.

I think your printer has actually lost it's scanner driver, might it's corrupt or it could be some other issues. The only solution is re-installing the driver. If you still have the Hp Driver CD that came with the printer, install all the drivers using the CD or if you don't have that CD, you can still download it from the HP Official website. Click HERE for Windows XP driver and HERE for Windows Vista. For Windows 7 upgrade, you have to install the software patch, click HERE to download.

There are no available drivers for win 7. I suggest you to use the winXP drivers (compatible for win98, 2000, vista etc) here is a link to download the latest version at any language you wish. After the download finish extract the downloaded zip file, right click at the s14a_enx fil, choose properties and go at the compatibility tab. Check the box for compatibility with win XP sp 3 and hit apply - ok. Run the s14a_enx fileand follow the on screen wizard. In case installing the drivers this way won't solve the problem, sorry to said, but you need a new win 7 compatible scanner.

Hello there.

Please click here to download the drivers for your audio chipset. You may note that Vista is not listed but the driver version for Windows XP works in Vista, there was a problem with the installer cd on Vista but apparently manually running the installer for the audio card, from the cd works fine. Click here to see what other users of the same motherboard said.
