Could be the idler pulley, or the dryer seals.

I have a thin twin #LTE6234D that squeals when it starts. I need to know how to replace the belts that are slipping.

Hi,
Which unit squeals when you start it, washer or dryer? Washer is direct drive and this noise would be from the pump area. Dryer could be Idler pulley or rear roller issue. If the belt is the issue, the front of the dryer would need to be removed in order to replace the belt, control panel needs to be removed first the disconnect the door switch. Remove the 5 screws to the front panel and replace the belt. But I would think its a idler or roller issue first over just a belt.
Good Luck

Whirlpool Dryer squeals

Either the drum is rubbing against something or more likely the belt pulley is cause the noise. Oil the pulley wheel and the drum rollers and it should stop squealing.

Loud rubber squeal sound with new clothes washer water seal.

its the wrong seal. do not lubricate it at all rubber sweals with any kind of petrolium product. many door boots look right for the model but will be thicker then needed. and will cause rubber to hit the basket.

Continuous Squealing

take the dryer apart and oil the drum support rollers and the idler pulley. If this does not fix it. Replace the support rollers and the idler pulley. To acces the rollers, take the 2 screws out under the lint filter and then raise the top of the dryer. then remove the 2 screws holding on the front. Take the front off and remove the drum and theres the rollers and the idler pulley. (taking apart the dryer applies to a whirlpool, kenmore, roper, kitchenaid, estate.) If you have another brand let me know i will tell you how to take it apart. (if oiling doesnt fix it your local parts store should have all the parts needed in stock.)
