Down button worn out

I use the up/down/left/right arrows on the ok button alot, now the down arrow won't work at all and the left arrow is only working part time. Is there any way I can fix this or repair it myself? The camera is only 2 years old and I'm not real "digital friendly", if you know what I mean..This one is my first. Thanks for any help... Delilah

Cannot scan for channels on remote

The remote model number doesn't help directly. This remote controls several Sanyo TVs including the DP46142 and DP32242. Manuals Lib has the owner's manual (copyright 2012) here: https://www.manualslib.com/products/Sanyo-Dp46142-77711.html . Press Menu (below and to the left of the arrow keys). Select Setup (the icon that looks like a satellite dish) using the left/right arrows. Press the down arrow and go to ANT/Cable setup. Press OK (in the center of the arrow keys). Use the left/right arrow keys to make sure that the Ant In line is set to Antenna. Press OK. Go down to Auto Setup and press OK. Choose from All Channels, Analog Channels and Digital Channels and press OK again. Select Apply and press OK when the scan is finished. (All channels and Digital Channels will work the same way since most analog channels are no longer broadcasting.) See https://www.manualslib.com/manual/306779/Sanyo-Dp32242.html?page=22#manual . Note: digital channels will not display if the signal strength is low. You may need a different antenna or a different antenna placement. See antennaweb.org or tvfool.com for suggested station transmitters.

I hope this helps.

(note: the physical buttons on the TV should work to navigate the menu. Use the channel buttons for Up/Down and volume for left right. The OK button is the Input button.)

Button to scan in channels

The CT-90326 remote was included with several Toshiba televisions, including the 42HL800A. You can't directly scan for channels with a single button on the remote. First make sure that the TV is set to the TV input. (Use the Input button on the remote (top left) or the TV (lowest button on the left side as you face the screen).) Next press Menu (the second lowest button on the TV or the button at the lower left of the Left arrow button). Use the Left or Right arrows to select Setup (with the gear icon) and press OK. Use the Up/Down arrows to select Auto-Tuning and press OK. Use the Up/Down arrows to reach the line to select the type of channels to search for a signal. Then use the Left/Right arrows to select Digital channels, Analog channels or both. Go down another line to set the bandwidth of your broadcasts. Again use the Left/Right arrows to select the correct one. Go down one more line to Start Scan and press OK.

These details are in the manual for your TV. The manual for the 42HL800A is available from Toshiba's product support download page: http://www.mytoshiba.com.au/support/televisions/led-backlit-tv/hl800a/42hl800a/download . The direct link to the manual is http://www.mytoshiba.com.au/file/download/resource/file/19610/toshiba_32av80032%2040lv80026%2032el80032%2042hl800_om%20(au).pdf .
I hope this helps.

I bought me camera off ebay and the software didn't come with it

Easy, just change the camera's USB connection to the DSC mode. You don't need any software when the camera is in DSC mode, it looks like a memory stick or card reader to your computer.

Enter the picture viewing mode, press the "menu /OK" button, arrow down to menu "2",
arrow down to "Set",
right arrow to the sub menu,
Arrow down to menu "3",
arrow down to "USB",
right arrow and arrow up to change from "Pict Bridge" to "DSC", left arrow out and press "menu/OK" button.
