My sony kds xbr1 was working fine and i notice the screen going off for about 15 seconds one day. Then a couple of days later, the tv won't turn on anymore. When i press the power button, the standby light will blink green for well over 100 times then green is steady after that. But no picture on the screen, I've check the bulb and even put in a new bulb and doesn't help. I've checked the back of tv and both fans are running fine. Please help...i don't want to spend money on new tv.

I've heard thiis is a fan issue that you need to replace an exhaust fan which is pretty cheap
SOURCE: KDS-R60XBR2 power led blinks 4 times,
There are three fans the one that usually fails is located on top of the optical block and cannot be reached by the owner unless you take the set apart yourself. What is happening is that one of the fans are not spinning fast enough or has stopped altogether. The best solution is to replace all three fans cleaning may not be enough to get a slow fan up to speed, and the tech should blow out the dust in the duct work. This is what the tech coming out will (or should) be doing. Also some fans will have an intermittent startup, and cause this intermittently, so it is a good idea just to replace the fans instead of just cleaning them.

Check the fan that cools the bulb. It is directly behing the bulb. It should turn on when the power comes on. It apparently has a safety to protect your tv(and home). mine is in the process of going out. looking for online solutions as we speak.

yes, the door has to engage a switch and if it doesn't the tv will not come on it usually has a 3 blink error if this is the problem. Is your red light flashing in a 3 blink series?

helloFive blinks - AKB circuit (automatic kine bias), the
timer/standby indicator blinks for about 30 seconds then goes to the
self-diagnosis function. Something is wrong with the video. Check video
out, Q705, 732, 761 and other components on the C board, also check
Q218, 219, 220 on the A board. In addition, unit could be in IK
blanking, try turning up screen slightly.
