Photography.

Your question is unclear, but if you're asking how to take photographs on a non-digital film camera in order to edit them digitally then you'll need a film scanner (avoid cheap ones) or a flatbed scanner with film scanning abilities.

I've reverted to film from unreliable and over complicated digital cameras and scan all my negatives and transparencies using an Epson Perfection 4870 Photo scanner. They're nearly as good as the latest model but only cost around £100 for a used example in perfect condition with all original accessories.

Scanning on an epson dx4400

To scan a picture into your PC you will need the Epson Scan program installed on the PC. This program comes on the CD with the printer, but if you don't have the CD it can be downloaded from Epson:
http://esupport.epson-europe.com/ProductHome.aspx?lng=en-GB&data=lkuCfcvA9cxyWBIk5wgudexhHWUK6Mnk&tc=6#19

It may already be installed, if you have Windows go to the Start menu and look for Epson Scan Utility. Turn the printer on and place your photo on the glass under the scanner cover. Click on Epson scan and you can choose 3 methods. Fully automatic, home mode or proffessional mode. fully automatic is the simplest method, simply click on the scan button. For the others be brave and experiment!

Hope this helps, please take a moment to rate this solution. Thanks.

Misalignment of scann after area selected

the 4990 often failed to detect automatically the film. Go manual, take the film zone, don't forget to specify it in the driver (the focus depends on it), and crop manually the picture. The result is perfect because it's yours. In many times, if the result is important to you, forget the automatisms.
