I never had this problem before but... i've have had like 4 movies or videos on it and like 2xx or 3xx songs and like 5 pics i deleted all the videos and pics to add more songs but now when ever it starts back up the screen goes to SANDISK then to the "data refresh" (cus it was from when i put the extra songs on it) then it started to go blurry then it goes whiter and whiter and there is no way i can turn it off i have to wait till the battery runs out... anything i can do to fix it??
It sounds like a display issue. To turn the unit off (soft reset) try holding the power for a full 30 seconds. I had a similar issue and thought I'd have to leave it on to shut it off (drain it) or connect it via usb to a pc (which does allow control again) This will solve the on-off issue but as far as what it is doing once it starts up, this isn't anything I've encountered specifically. I had a dead unit before but it had to be RMA'd (1-866-726-3475) They are very kind and helpful there and shouldn't be much of an issue (1yr from purchase or less required) If you bought yours from radioshack then you are in business. Some other retailers have different warranty lengths.
Hope this helps.
(Side note: If you don't care about the data, you can re-write the entire OS, and firmware, etc. from a ROM based chipset. Put hold switch to orange, hold down REC and then power on the unit. You should see the recovery screen at that point.)
Let me know how it goes.
Thanks.
Kevin.

Some of their very old sets the video input was located on channels in the 90's; Try scrolling down from 99 to 90 to see if you locate the video input; this is just the way they did things in the older sets.

Chances are that you are using windows xp. open up your sansa folder to where it says pictuer, movies, ect. look at the picture to see what to do. In your player folder click tools --> folder options --> View. Under hidden files and folders click 'show hidden files and folders, click ok. The music folder would now show up where the videos and pictures are. Simply open the music folder and delete the ones you do not want. By default the songs are sorted by artist --> album --> song.
