Question about Philips 20PF7835 20 in. LCD Television
I have a few of the commercial versions of this TV that are marketed to the medical and commercial industries. The commercial model (20FT3010/37B) can be converted to the regualr TV model 20PF7835 by removing an extra board that bypasses the tuner module and apparantly some of the existing cables need to be rerouted to other connectors. I saw it once but briefly - anyone have any knowledge on this conversion? Thanks
There probably is no seperate tuner module in the set as most sets now have just one board.

It is the re-recordable version of the DVD+R
and everything that was said about the DVD+R is valid for the DVD+RW. Only the
newest DVD players play movies recorded in disks using this format. There are
recorders on the market that can record both DVD-RW disks and DVD+RW ones. These
recorders are called DVD?±RW. Similarly to the DVD-RW, the disk needs to be
finished to be played in commercial DVD players, and to record new data in the
disk after having finished it requires reformatting it, which makes all the data
in it to be erased. DVD+RW recorders are usually capable of reading DVD-RW disks
(but not of recording them) and vice-versa.
There you are.

I know for a fact that everything required to make the conversion is present in the commercial model. There are multiple boards internally and there is a very obvious additional board attached on the rear exterior of the case. This is part of their iTV upgrade that needs to be removed and then there is some minor rerouting of the existing cables. I've seen it done once a long time ago and I can't recall how its done.
