If you are inclined with this job open up your TV set .the poblem of your tv is in the CRT board.. my first option for that is to reheat the CRT board then if the problem still uccor isolate and check the parts around with the CRT socket board or to the way in near the flyback priorities to check the capacitors..

Hi, this is quite a common problem for plasma screens and LCD screens. The fluroscent backlight is more than likely faulty and would need replacing. The best thing to do is to take it to a service centre because there are no user servicable parts inside the plasma.
Have you try to replace your HDMI cable?I recommend you to pick up a good Monster HD700 HDMI cable from a local retail store like best buy or circuit city.In case it isn't the cable problem,you could return it. However,when you are a using the HDMI cable,it is normally either have both picture and sound or nothing at all.Are you sure you didn't hook up the audio OUTPUT from your TV back to a receiver input?
