If the remote is an old model, then it won't be programmed with a specific code for your exact model of TV. Try any of the Samsung codes, or do an Auto code search.

I put a lamp in to my Samsung HLS4266WX/XAA, but when I actually took it apart for the Bulb replacement which I have done twice now. I found where that switch is, that gets pressed when you have the back cover to the bulb screwed in was hanging, and I can get the new bulb and my replacement bulb to work for about 15 secs, and at one point it was working really good. Can anyone help me with this problem, cause Im getting frustrated. It seems like a simple fix,but its almost like the bulb I ordered is not as good as my other replacement bulb.Its from MWAVE.com, anyone heard anything about this company? Please help if you can, id really appreciate it.

He is talking about the HLT6187SAX/XAA which is an LED model not the HL-T6187S model which has a lamp unless he gave the wrong model number in the original post.

Try website like You Tube.Type in model tv and lamp replacement there will be a video tutoring u in that model of DLP tv lamp replacement.

Ballast Board needs to be replaced it is what turns Lamp on. 1-800-638-3328 Be sure that Lamp Fan is running or TV will not come on.

You may be in need a new ballast, the assembly that excites the bulb into producing output.

The (P) stands for Phillips which was the original bulb used by Samsung.

Since your TV was manufactured Samsung has started using other bulbs in their TV's.

If you do a search on the internet you will still be able to locate a Phillips bulb w/housing, just type the complete bulb# in the search field.
