Epson Stylus CX6600 All-In-One InkJet Printer Logo

Question about Epson Stylus CX6600 All-In-One InkJet Printer

1 Answer

Not Printing I lost my setup disk, ordered a new one from Epson, reinstalled it and now my printer is not printing anything. I have all new ink cartridges. Epson told me to take it to a service center, but I can't afford this at this time. I have had it less than 2 years. I thought maybe it was imcompatible with my new tower. But, I took it to a friends and set it up on their computer and it didn't work either.

You may have a split tube on the pump cap or it could be that with standing for a while the ink in the pipes to the waste pad has gone hard. Get in touch with the people at http://www.TheServiceManualShop.com and ask them for the information on the Loss Of Ink Rescue Kit. This should help you get it going again.

Its not printing anything, I've had it for a couple years now, I just changed the ink after this happened, thinking it was out or gone bad... I've checked the new ink, making sure no plastic was in the...

Problem with printer main board. Usually, it's caused by short circuit at head. If you have experience in electrical circuit and soldering, check mounted fuse at main board. Check for f1 and f2 fuse. If the fuse is off, replace it. But you must check the head first. Find the reference in aicaxz solution for this condition. There are same condition as your printer, that resolved with this technique. But, if you don't have experience better take to epson service center.
Head cleaning is mechanical process, printing is electrical process.

My r220 epson will not prit anything

The ink indicator permanently on indicates an ink cartridge problem, (not that the protection counter needs resetting). The status monitor picture of the ink cartridges should show which cartridge is at fault, it will have a red X on it. The cartridge is empty, faulty, or in the wrong position. Alternatively, you may have an internal fault e.g. with the system board. But change the indicated faulty cartridge first.

Printing without color?

Im sorry to inform but yes, Epson ink jet printers require all of the ink cartridges to have ink in them in order to print any color, black and white, or grayscale images. Epson printers contain a permanent print head that needs to be charged with all colors to work. Even when users are printing black text only, a small amount of color ink is used to keep the print head charged for color printing and prevent air bubbles from entering the color print nozzles which can damage the print head. Therefore, once one of the cartridges are expended, the printer signals you to replace the cartridge in order for printing to continue.

Black and yellow ink not printing

This is what worked (so far) with my Dell1.gif AIO A940 printer1.gif that wouldn't print black ink.

It worked for awhile when I chose photo/glossy paper, but then it quit printing again (see below).

PRINT, PROPERTIES, PAPER SETUP, SPECIALTY PAPER, PHOTO/GLOSSY

I got it to print, again, by putting SEVERAL papers in the feeder (instead of just 1) - there is a sensor that is supposed to automatically detect paper type, and it might not be working right, especially with one or only a couple of sheets.
