BENQ LCD monitor takes a long time to warm up and start working. sometimes it would take 10mins to hours to start working..once it works, it seems to be fine, good picture/color but as soon as you shut it off or go into hibernation mode, you have to wait again I am handy with a soldering iron but I know nothing about LCD monitors. It sounds like it might be a very simple fix if you just know what component is fried. Should I try a cold can? Perhaps this is common?

SOURCE: vison flat 19" hooked to toshiba laptop w/Vista no signal

Can't say I really "fixed" the problem. I tried other monitors, DVI cord and took the laptop to a repair shop. Nothing worked. And then....boom.....it worked! No one knows why or how. No one did anything to the computer or monitor. It just works. Who knows how long it will work, but it works today.

I have Benq 19" FP93GX

That sounds like the power section may have problems and is radiating electronics noise ie signals.
If you have warranty get it fixed or replace it. Unfortunately Benq has had quality issues over the years. Sometimes parts and other times assembly. Your's might have both going on at the same time. Monitors are so cheap to buy that they are generally not worth fixing if you have to pay for it. I'm using a benq now and it is one I had to resolder a few places on the board before it worked properly.

The model of the BENQ Lcd Monitor is FP783 When I open the Monitor it is working around half an hour later on the screen become black but the the led is remain on. If you wait the screen never come back...

There are two boards that I would be checking, the power supply often has bulging capacitors that need to be replaced, the second concern is the inverter board has usually two three that need to be addressed, 'very common problems" the inverter energizes the back lights.

Benq 19" monitor not working every time when computer started

Check your connections and make sure they are tight, and there are no bent pins. If everything seems ok, you might want to try plugging this monitor into a different computer or plug a different
monitor into yours to determine whether it's the monitor, the video card, or maybe the driver (doubtful on this as you state it seems to be bad somethimes on boot).

Monitor not powering up

I'm not too sure about dell pc's.But if you think a fuse might be inside there,I'd try to do a search online for how to change that and go from there. However,I'm not really understanding the warm up thing. Is it an LCD screen?

Benq FP71G+S NOt starting.

Hello
I have had this problem twice once at my school and once with my BenQ FP71G Monitor. At my school the monitor ( HP ) just stopped working and smelt like burnt popcorn.(though is think this is due to some kids chucking a soccer(football) ball at it! With my BenQ it has the same problem though i nownthink it is because of the monitor has been on for excessive hours ( 3-4 ) and just shut down because of overheating. I will see in a couple of hours if it works !
