Our Frigidaire frost frost free upright freezer from day one has frost build up on the food inside the packages. The frost is not a problem in the freezer itself, but on the food. Freezer burn occur

Hi Dale Dibb, thank you for your inquiry!

I understand that the food inside of your Frigidaire freezer is getting frost on the inside of the packages. I would recommend turning the temperature up inside of your freezer. Additionally moisture inside of the package would cause frost to develop on the inside of the food packages.

Please assure that all possible moisture has been removed out of the food packages prior to placing the items inside of the freezer. If there is anything else that I can help you with, please feel free to reconnect! -Matt

Frost builts up in the coils

Frost will normally build up if you do not have frost free freezer and in which case it is possible the frost free system is faulty. If it is not frost free then it has to be defrosted a few times in a month. However if the frost comes up very quickly then there are possible causes.
You may be having leakage from the door seals or there are items in the freezer that are not properly covered to avoid moisture escaping. Other possibility is that your freezer is set too cold and there are not many items in it.

I have a very noisy fridgidare upright freezer causing snow on contents inside it?

Hi Lisa, thank you for your post! New freezers retain colder temperatures. Especially on hot humid days, moisture entering the freezer (when the door is opened) can form frost inside the appliance and moisture collection inside the unit. Reducing energy use to meet government requirements, defrost heaters have shorter run times. Light loads in the freezer also contribute to the problem.

Here are some tips to keep moisture low in the freezer:

Use your air conditioner to reduce humidity.

Arrange shelving and food items so air circulates.

Don't "overload" or leave the freezer empty. It should be at least half full.

Set the controls as recommended in the use and care guide. Manufacturers may suggest different settings for summer and winter.

Properly seal liquids and high moisture foods stored in the unit.

Open the freezer doors as few times as possible.

Clean condenser coils at least twice a year. Check your use and care manual for specific procedures. You'll save energy, too.

Cover pots and pans and use the range hood fan when cooking to reduce moisture in the kitchen.

Check and maintain door gaskets. A good door seal keeps warm moist air out of the freezer.

These tips will help control frost and moisture in your freezer, but won't always eliminate the problem, especially when humidity is excessive. If you have taken all necessary steps to prevent moisture and humidity, you may need to reach out to a professional for further diagnosis.

Hope this information helps resolve this issue.

Frigidaire upright model ffu21k2cw1 frost on top shelf and not cooling properly

http://manuals.frigidaire.com/prodinfo_pdf/StCloud/216802800en.pdf
Your unit is not self defrosting so I would suggest you do a manual defrost and see if it corrects the problem.
Also make sure that you have good air flow across the compressor.

Lots of frost in freezer

check your seals on the door and see if any on the compartments are broken because if the door is broken to the compartment it could be that the the cold and warmth is mixing causing your freezer to frost up temp could also be to high check all

Ice and frost

Excess frost especially near the door is caused by door gaskets being bad. The gasket should hold a dollar bill snug.
Another possibility is auto defrost failure. - Remove the cover on the rear inside the freezer to see if the coils are heavily iced.

Top & middle shelves COVERED with frost/ice, not middle

That is normal. The refrigerant runs through those shelves. They are the evaporator side of the unit. That is where the freezing effect comes from.
Check door seals for leaking air.
Keep door openings to a minimum.
Get in there and get out.
Those things will help prolong frost/ice buildup.
