It sounds like a faulty motor if they are under a year old send then back who you purchased them from otherwise it could be a costly repair. Dog Clippers
the tension should be pre set from the factory, if its more than one blade your having problems with then its likely there is a problem with the clippers.
make sure the blade clicks into place and cannot be removed without depressing the release latch, secondly check the two screws are tight either side of the hinge assembly, faults in either can cause this fault.
How old is your clipper, Oster clippers need to be adjusted for more power and speed, also what clipper blade are you using to cut the horse hair and how long is the horse hair, Also the blade may not be sharp, some new blade are sharp maybe defective.
If the clippers are new, it is not likely that the problem is internal. Sometimes, when the blade is put on the clipper, it needs an extra little push to clip firmly behind the blade catch (you can hear a little click). Try that.
You must put the new one in exactly as the old one came out. Sorry, no diagrams unless you are an authorized dealer. Most of our repairs are common sense. No books. My husband just replaced mine today. Plus one clipper wasn't the switch as I thought, but was a broken wire in the cord near the clipper that kept shorting.
Ok turn your clipper on and hold it still in one hand whilst with the other hold the cable near the end of the clipper and bend it, rotate and twist if your clipper cuts in and out you have a break in the cable which is tricky to fit but our web site Help section can help.
