The On-Off switch is stuck in the down position. The unit is turned off and there is no obvious way to field engineer around the problem. No switch function ----no GPS.

Reset button on 910 ???

Before you reset your 910, first make sure your battery is (well) charged and if you are using an SD card, it is taken out.

The reset button is actually a tiny hole at the bottom / base of the unit.

Simply use a straightened out paper clip or something similar, insert it into the hole and hold it there for 20 seconds or so, until the device turns off. Then push the ON/OFF button and hold it down for a while ... (5 seconds ... or lots more) until the device powers up again. If you're using an SD card, you can then insert the card (when it is looking for it).

Tomtom 730 doesn't switch on!

Hopefully all you need to do is a soft reset. To do this use a streightened paper clip and insert it into the small round hole marked reset on the bottom of your tt. Gently press the reset button in until you feel a click. Hold the reset button in for 20 seconds. Hope this does the job.

N4VMC asks, will dead internal battery prevent 910 from coming on when on external power?

Even with a dead battery it should come on when an external power is supplied. If it doesn't try doing a reset using a straightened paper clip.
