Bad Printer Head, Change Magenta (Square)

If anyone can tell me why when I change the printer-head the copier doesn't recognize it I'd really appreciate it. If you can tell me how to fix it that would be better. I printed out a self-test report and the printer has it logged when I changed the printer-head but it is still not reading it. No Magenta ink is printed out in the self-test report. I really don't wan't to throw out the printer since everything else works fine. Won't someone help me.... pretty, pretty please.

Doesn't print magenta?

It appears the magenta print head nozzles are blocked.
Inkjet printers need to be used frequently to prevent ink drying out and blocking the print head nozzles.
If the print head cleaning maintenance routine does not clear the blockages, then print head needs replacing, but it may be expensive.
It may be more cost effective to buy a later model and better printer than replace the print head.

Printer doesn't recognize magenta cartridge.

You need a new printer head, point blank- this is for the average person not cost effective because of the price of print head if the particular one is even available, No way to pin point what cause it-maybe the company that made it can- so if you repair it may happen again since we don't know what caused it in the first place- People dont repair printers they replace them, my 200$ printer was now 50$ and hard to find and the print head was 80$ online only...guess what i did. You cant sell it because no one wants is--best bet is trash and buy a new one--Good Luck.

Brother DCP-350C magenta ink won't clean and print quality check shows multiple visible gaps

You have a blockage in the print head and/or feed line from the ink cartridge to the print head. One possible fix would be to make a pad of paper kitchen towel wet it and sit the print head on it overnight. With luck the pad will soak the blockage and draw ink through the head. Give the machine two self cleans and try a print quality test to see if you have made ANY improvement. If no improvement - forget it as the blockage has been there too long.

Replaced the Magenta cart. and it still doesn't print anything red. I did clean the contacts that HP suggests.

You may have blocked print head nozzles.
Try the printer maintenance to clear the printer nozzles.
After several deep cleaning attempts and there is no improvements in the printthen a new print head is required.
A new print head maybe expensive and it maybe more cost effective to purchase anew printer.

Okidata B4600 error message #132 on two printers. What does this error mean. The printers will not go to off line.

Error 132:
LED Head Missing, Color:Magenta

When magenta LED head connection cannot be detected

Solution:
You should first try to restart the printer.
If that doesn't resolve the problem, the ribbon cable is probably disconnected from the print head.

The led print heads are four assemblies that hang down from the lid of the machine when you open it. Make sure they are properly connected.

How to clean inkjet of epson styles sx600fw?

Had same problem with my SX600FW. Changed all cartridges umpteen times because head cleaning process empties working cartridges. Ended up with none of the colour cartridges working! Paid Epson repairer £20 for them to tell me the print head was clogged and repair will cost as much as a new printer!! Problem started just after warranty expired!! I shan't be buying Epson again even though it was a great tool when it was working.

Printer does not print magenta and cyan. Change

The print head is clogged.Try unclogging manually.Open the cover and first remove the ink cartridges. Then open the holder and remove the print head.Run hot tap water and put the print head with the nozzles up to stream water.Hold that 5 mins then turn the print head around
with the nozzles down.Hold that for every color of 5 mins. Then put the print head in hot water with the nozzles down.Left it water about 15 mins and then you must very nice to dry. When the print head dry put it in printer and start cleaning. If this not help you need to replace the print head. It's part number is QY6-0049.

Magenta print head reseat.

i'm sorry to be the bearer of bad news but it sounds like your carriage assembly is bad. the slot that holds the magenta cartridge is defective.have the carriage assembly and trailing cables replaced. this should resolve your problem. these parts are becoming harder to find because of the age of the printer. carriage assembly part number is C6074-69388. trailing cable is C6074-60418 making the assumption this is a 36" plotter. also you can try cleaning the contacts on the carriage assembly. good luck!
