Question about Apex Digital GB5108 51" Rear Projection EDTV-Ready Television
This tv is stuck in U Sintl mode, or channel, whichever it is. And of course the original remote is lost, and seeing as how they don't make the remotes anymore I had to order a 'copy' replacement. When I got it, I tried to use it but no luck. Is there anyway I can get the tv out of U Sintl??

SOURCE: NO SOUND FROM MY APEX GB5108 TV
I had the same problem with mine, it turned out to be a fried audio board. I simply used the audio outputs on the back of the tv to drive a new reciever with surround. Sound a heck of a lot better than the speakers built into the tv.

I am not familiar with this particular set, but it sounds like you have no vertical deflection, which would mean your vertical output IC may be bad. The # on those ICs usually start with LA and is mounted to a heatsink.
