Followed the intructions of restortion of firmware data but still having problems i would be thankful for any help cos it is driving me mad

My Toshiba Gigabeat F20 displays No system found on HDD when supplied with power. I am not able to view anything.
Can u plz help me out?

Dear Toshiba Support;

My name is Edy I have Toshiba Gigabeat F20 and am facing problems on it.

Error : NO SYSTEM FOUND ON HDD!

I tried many solutions from the web and still didn’t work.

I download the new version of the driver “gbf_update_3_0_au.exe” and the problem still exist.

Is there any way to solve this problem.

Please it’s an urgent request.

go to my computer go inside gigabeat click tools folder option show the hidden folders and system
then u well see 2 or maye one folder or maybe more at all u will delete it all
there is the problem in the final step i have 2 folder when u put them the mp3 work ok 1- his name "GBSYSTEM" 2- "System Volume Information"
this tow folder must be put on and i don't know how to shared to people
can you explant more about that,i realy dont understand the anwser from number 8.thanks

Replay khoury_edy Salam alaikom , and ramdan Kareem :) , i have the same problem in my gigabeat F60 i make update to 3.0 and put to me the same thing " No system on HDD " but i find a way to fixed it and i hope it well solve yours

close the mp3 by turn it off battery Button
open the manual to learn how to open the cover
open just the back not the monitor cover
u will see Broad-wire come outside the range of hard drive
Separate cautiously the broad wire by small key put the small key between the hard drive and the wire and pull th wire up and be warned to not brake up
then turn the battery on and Connect usb and start the mp3
when the mp3 will Connected to the computer Connect the wire to the hard drive

Toshiba e-studio 3008 show f101 call for service error 13 . How can i solve it?

Receiving error code C-E301

I just found this on the knowledge base it refers to this code when the hdd is replaced and internal data is different it may be a faulty hdd but there is a firmware in reference to this code.
Error C-E301 occurs for mismatching in the internal data as HDD is changed.
C-ED01 will be displayed as the mismatch in the internal data occurs as HDD is changed.
HDD Format will be necessary when this trouble is displayed.

Did you have the firmware (Copiers Operating system) NOT DRIVERS updated??????? Do this step

1. If it occurred after upgrading the Firmware,
conduct the following setting.
[Service Mode] ? [Sate Confirmation] ?
[Memory/HDD Adj.] ? [HDD Version Up]

If not do this:

2. Turn OFF the main power switch and turn it
ON again, and conduct the following setting.
[Service Mode] ? [System 1] ? [Initialization]
? [Data Clear].

IF not reformat the hard drive, or replace it.

Worse case replace the main board$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

My 160gb hdd failed so i cudnt start my pc,for pretty big amount of $ specialist was able to save&backup my data from the failed hdd to a new 160 gb hdd.then i bought 320 gb hd which i filled up pretty...

no it didtn kill the fan NEVER UNPLUG A HARD DRIVE WHILE THE COMPUTER IS ON. YOU CAN. AS IT SOUNDS PERM DAMAGE THE DRIVE.look at the fan. follow the power cord make sure its plugged in right it may have just gotten loose if its in right you may just need to replace it there like 5 bucks. hope this solves your issue let me know

Just install your software that came with your Gigabeat. After installation please run the following program. Start/Programs/Toshiba Gigabeat Room/Formatting Utility for Gigabeat. This will place all the files back in the hard drive. Please do not format this unit from My computer to the drive letter. Hard disk drive suddenly full. I haven't seen this prob before

looks like virus infection

if u still can boot, save personal data,important driver files and sav-games to cd or extra drive like usb-stick, vir-scan it from a guarded system,

format original hd, build two partions, one primary smaller for os, progs and virtual memory,
other primary or extended for games and data
- use different log-in/accounts on occasion (one admin for installation and maintanance, another guest/ power user for games and internet)
- install games, antivir and firewall and progs from admin login, but surf and game with other log-in, this will make things safer

- make regular backups of your precious data

Seagate st3500320as firmware sd15 not recognize by bios

You need to access the drive controller and reset it using an RS232 to CMOS convertor and hyperterminal. The problem is caused by the firmware on the controller software going into an infinite loop.
If bios is not seeing it then none of the software tools available will allow access.
Once the hard drive is reset, the disk is fully useable again. A firmware upgrade is possible at this point, but usually we just image the disk and load it onto a more reliable replacement as most customers do not want to experience that sort of fright again.
I have fixed a few of these and have the equipment to do it, but it is not really a task for the amateur.

HP NC6320 - drive not detected or found during OS install

That is a possibility that it has a data protection. Try this http://www.ptdd.com/manual2.htm download the super FDisk and burn the ISO to a DVD. then boot off of it and delete all partitons on your HDD that way it will be erased so you can start over new. You might be able to do this on HPs boot disk too. Unfortunately you cannot update the HDD firmware after the drive has no OS on it. In this case you need an outside tool to totally erase the HDD so the install can see it again.
