HP 6210 My printer after nearly two years of reasonable usage has decided to go slow. It now takes about 10 minutes to print one page. I spke to hp yesterday and they charged me £12 for a 24 minute phone call to tell me to buy a new printer. It does however print just very very slowly Any Ideas the Mediator

Here is the link to all the support options for your printer including user manual and troubleshooting if you need it; http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/product?product=421991&lc=en&cc=uk&dlc=en&lang=en&cc=uk first follow this troubleshooting procedure if you have a windows pc connected; http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?docname=c00093466&lc=en&cc=uk&dlc=en&product=421991&rule=36216&lang=en and this one for Mac; http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?docname=c00108051&lc=en&cc=uk&dlc=en&product=421991&rule=36216&lang=en Hopefully this will resolve the issue, especially the third item about turning off the paper type sensor. any help you need with any of the procedures, please ask again. If this doesn't work, then; Make sure your drivers are up to date and not corrupted - download new drivers from; http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareCategory?lc=en&cc=uk&dlc=en&product=421991&rule=36216&lang=en& see if you can borrow another printer from someone (doesn't have to be the same, but that would be best), install it and then see if you get the same problem, confirming if the data transfer from the pc is or is not the problem. If the other printer works fine, then the next thing to suspect would be the power supply - try plugging into a different power socket, and try and get hold of a new power adaptor and see if that works. Replace any connecting cables to the pc with new good ones, just in case that is the problem. Hope this helps, if the machine prints at all then it should be fixable :)

HP Office jet printer slow

I think it's that black cartridge!

The problem you've described is typically caused by one of the cartridges failing. Try removing the black cartridge and printing (not copying) a test page. If this prints at near normal speed the black cartridge is at fault and should be replaced. If the printer still prints slowly then put the black cartridge back in and remove the color cartridge, then print a page. Replacing the cartridge that causes the slow printing with a fresh cartridge will resolve the issue.

Assuming the cartridges are original HP (not re-manufactured or refilled) you can check the warranty status by CLICKING HERE

Let me know how you make out.

Very slow printing

Try to make a photocopy first from the printer itself, if it can print faster then the problem is on the computer,if not then follow the steps below:
Clean the printheads, clean the nozzles, if it still print slowly, remove the cartridges and clean the nozzles. If these steps does not resolved the problem then try changing the cartridges, maybe there's something wrong with the cartridges itself. After changing the cartridges, try to print again, and if its still the same then just post it here and ill try to find another solution for you.
