Web cam not working.

I just bought a note book acer extensa 4220, and installed the necccessary programmes, but whenever I try to launch the web cam, it keep telling me camera not found. Pls help.

Go into control pannel. go device manager. right click on the camera and uninstall (do not select delete driverS)

reboot the machine

install yawcam

if still having problems go to manufactureres website and search for new drivers for the camera.


or call my office 0845 20 20 118 and I can get them sent to you

I have note book of acer extensa 4220 its camera is working but at yahoo & msn messenger it is not connecting and giving error. Please advise.
Hello there!
Wheather is a new laptop or used , you have to verify this,
1) If you dont have any program that is blocking video, or other program or antivirus, red alarm etc.
2) verify if camera working fine with the program it came and all drivers are installed.
3) verify if you install the new versio of Messenger, at www.microsoft.com and try configurating later on TOOLS , AUDIO AND VIDE SETTING.
4) Verify is the vide cam, are well connected inside ( any good tech can see if is working fine lines inside. )

Bluetooth problem on my acer extensa 4220
Most Acer product does not have in-built bluetooth. what they have is the application supporting bluetooth device. The best you can do is to get any external bluetooth device and install it driver as well on your Acer laptop, this will surely work.

i had a similar problem ,i run linpus linux lite and my compute told me it needed a thing call snack plug in so i looked it up online,downloaded it and ive been able to use my cam on everything another choice is to go to acer homepage were you can update drivers etc

Install xp on acer extensa 4220 hard disk not detected
Acer Extensa supports two model of HDD installation 1) AHCI and 2) SATA.

Windows Vista get installs on both but for Windows XP you need to Enable SATA option.

For that go into Bios, Change option of Hard Disk from AHCI to SATA. After that you can install both XP as well as Vista.
