Try lowering your screen resolution, and don't download / view videos in HD. Test with lower like 480 and maybe 720. Mine can't even handle 720 by the way.
How do hook it up? Are you using composite video (Yellow video cable) from DVD Yellow RCA video out to the TV AV1 composite video Yellow RCA jack and RED and WHITE cables for sound. Or you are using component video hook up using RED, BLUE, and GREEN Video cables and the RED and WHITE cables for sound. Please post back and tell us how you have it set up. You just have to match the color of jacks and plugs, unless there is problem in the TV.
Make sure you have the cables hook up right. If you are running component mode it takes three for video blue red and white ends. If you are running composite it takes red, white, and yellow.
This may be a problem with your ps3 as they are region free. mine is from china and plays all british games fine and blu ray movies email sony @ [email protected]

i guess it's some kind of... piracy filter. If the clip is too long, the player will automatically asume that you've downloaded a movie illegally. that what i think.
