This information is intended for those of you that are getting support from the Fixya.com expert community, for your printer. There are a few things you may wish to consider, prior to posting a request for assistance.
A. It's absolutely vital that you use the correct model number and maker's name for your request. Without that, no expert will be able to access their extensive information pool of techniques.
B. Speak just to the current issue. A reference to how long it's been working, is fine, yet presents little valuable information to an expert seeking to refine their response.
C. There are four major areas that represent nearly 99% of all printer issues. They are:
1. Ink issues. This usually happens when the cartridges are changed. It's vital to do a clean and calibrate, just after installing new cartridges. Try that first, and then a test page.
2. Paper jam issues. Visually inspect the inside of your printer, and focus on little slices of paper(comes from those papers with perforations).
3. Communications errors. Check all the cables for secure connection(they do come out sometimes, for no reason). Also, make sure that you have the most current drivers from the makers website.
4. Actual Print output issues. These are across the board, and without all the first 3 issues resolved, would simply add to your potential problem.
