Usb cable removed whils downloading

I accidently removed the usb cable while downloading photos. Now the camera does not function at all. I cannot even take pictures. The computer no longer recognizes the camera. The only sign of life is the green and red light are showing which shows the camera is on, but even when I turn the camera off they remain on. Thank you, Yechezkel

Try taking the batteries out of the camera for a few minutes, and see if that helps to "reboot" the camera.

How do I download photos from GE E1410SW digital camera - I only got one cable when cMERA WAS PURCHASED AND THAT IS FOR CHARGING?

You should have received a USB cable with the camera, along with the battery and AC adapter. If you did not, or have misplaced it in the excitement of opening your new camera, then you will need to purchase one. Your photo store retailer will be able to help you get the correct cable for your camera -- not all USB cables are the same at the camera end.

Alternatively, if you are using a laptop, there may be a memory slot on the side that will take the SD or SDHC memory card your camera uses. In this case you can remove the card from your camera and plug it into your computer directly without the need for connecting your camera by USB cable.

You can get an USB cord from a camera or computer shop. Take the camera with you when you go shopping because they can make sure you get the correct cable.
ALTERNATE WAY TO TRANSFER PHOTOS AND VIDEOS TO A COMPUTER
If your photos and videos are stored on the memory card, then remove the memory card from the camera and insert it into an USB memory card reader. Connect this USB memory card reader and memory card into the USB port of your working computer. Your computer will see this as an USB Mass Storage Device or an external storage device; you can then open the folder on the memory card and copy the photos and to your computer. Have you tried to take photos & then use the USB cable to download those trial photos? or take test photos and then swap your SD card into another SD card camera?
The rear screen has all its electrics passing through a flat ribbon connector, as this is the only link to the main body of the camera. This ribbon folds over itself at 45 degrees within the case when the camera is assembled.
This fold is OK until the camera is compressed accidently, when that fold in the ribbon may become a crease, and then one or more of the connections within the ribbon may fail at the crease, and while camera works otherwise, you have then lost function of the rear screen.
Take some test photos & if they download OK, I'd suspect this ribbon connector is the problem. Camera Good, Screen not working.
I currently have this problem with my R1v & have yet to see if a replacement ribbon connector is available from a Repair facility, so my help may only give you insight, without end-solution.

I deleted approx 10 pics on my sony cybershot dsc-t77 internal camera memory by accidently formatting. How do I recover these photos as they are very important pictures to me? Thanks very much

I'm not sure if you can, but I can suggest something to try.

If the pics were deleted on a memory card, it would be straightforward to undelete them. You would put the card into a card reader attached to a computer and use an undelete program. There is such a program, free to download, that is especially good on card readers and other USB drives.

It is possible that this program will see your camera as a USB memory drive if you connect it with a USB cable. You must remove any memory card in the camera first, or the computer will see the card instead of the internal memory. Then run the undelete program and have it look for files on the drive that is your camera (if it can see it). If you did a format, you will have to use the "surface scan" function to find deleted files.

You can get the program from THIS LINK

How do i transfer photos from my samsung L100 camera on my laptop???

If you have a USB cable, connect to your camera and then connect it to the computer's USB port. the computer should see the camera as a storage device. You can then open the folders on the camera and copy the photos to a folder in your computer.
Some cameras need a program installed on the computer so you can download the photos.
The other way of downloading photos - remove the memory card from the camera and plug it into an USB memory card reader and then connect this to the USB port on the computer. The computer will see this as an external storage device, then open the folders on the memory card and copy the photos to a folder in the computer.

Vivicam 5388

If your camera connects with a USB cable you should be able to download the USB driver from Vivitar's web site. Once the correct USB driver is installed Windows (2000, XP, or Vista) should see the camera as a removable storage device when you connect the USB cable to your laptop. Then use Windows explorer to copy the photos from the camera (removable storage) to your hard drive.
