RCA F32632SB problem

It appears a diode came loose from the main board in my television and managed to burn a hole through the board and short the tv out. When I had it still together if I plugged it in I would just get a high pitch whistle. The board is burnt up, there's not question about it. A quarter of it is charred and melted. I've been online looking for a site that sells the parts I need and I'm not having any luck. Could you point me in the right direction please? Here are some pictures of the damage: http://dovobisland.homestead.com/files/P001330.jpg http://dovobisland.homestead.com/files/P001331.jpg http://dovobisland.homestead.com/files/P001333.jpg Respectfully, Bryan

That is a coil for the pincushion circuit in the TV. The part number is 215506 and here is a link to purchase the part. http://www.partstore.com/ProductDetail.aspx?ProductSKU=2149167&ProductType=PART

Initially the tv would make an arcing sound and lose power. I found CP031 had burned a hole in the board. I ordered the repair kit from Repair World and installed the recomended cap, trans. and diode. Now,...

That chassis is famous for the CL031 box capacitor burning through the board often if the hole is large enough the entire deflection board may need to be replaced as alot or arching can cause a surge to run through the deflection circuits, So replaceing the deflection board as a unit may be the best bet.

I have an RCA 52in Rear Projection TV. One day it

There is a sub-board in this set that powers the convergence circuit. Often a big Ic shorts, two diodes and finally the main fuse. not something you can fix yourself.

An Rca tv turns on then immediately turns off. Rca tv model number 20F512T. It has picture, audio, and no blinking lights. I've checked the main board and no problem what so ever. Nothing burned or loose....

If it turns off going standby, and led is on, then it is on protect, and remaining parts must be tested.

If it turns off completely, and you can restart it with the On button, then the board with controls is faulty.
If it does switch off completely (no light), and only comes back on after unplugging power cord for a while, then there is a different internal fault that is not starting protection circuit , but causing shutdown.
After double checking the PSU board, you will have to test a couple of ICs on main controller board, the deflection circuit and flyback transformer. Check also for broken solder joints and thaces of shorts on all boards and components (eg. burnt areas, blown capacitors), as a short can potentially cause sudden shut down.

Here schematics.

Here all parts for your TV.

Hour Glass picture on a RCA TV F32632SB

I looked up this model and found the following electolytic capacitors to be the most likely culprits within the pincushion circuit. Check these first. The starred one is the one I have replaced in the past to resolve this.

C4851 10ufd 50V
C4853 10ufd 63V
C4854 2.2ufd 100V
C4855 2.2ufd 50V
* C4862 100ufd 25V

Good luck,

Problem with my RCA F32632SB

That is a linearity coil not a diode. The coild can be replaced on its own and possibly the board patched up as long as you know where the burned traces go to. The only other way to get the board fixed since RCA never sold main board is go to http://www.ptscorp.com/ and contact them on rebuilding the board. You wil have to ship it to them and once they are done they will ship it back. It probably isn't worh the cost though.
