This machine has an interlock that keeps the door shut until you've got the water out. In the short term, unhook the drain hose from its standpipe and lower the end into a basin on the floor. This should be enough to empty the water out the machine (though it may take a while if the problem is one of blockage). Once the water is out, you should be able to open the door. After that, it would be helpful to know what has happened to the machine. Is it making any noises? are there any lights on? How far through the cycle did it get? Has it still got power (check it really is plugged in and that the fuse in the plug hasn't gone)? A.

How do i remove child lock on Hotpoint WMFG611P washing machine

If the machine has taken in water, and not drained it out. it will prevent the door from opening.
Have you tried draining the machine, and then trying to open the door?? The easiest way it to either set the machine on a slow spin cycle, and allow it to finish that, or if your particular machine has a "drain cycle" ( this feature is not on all models) set the machine to drain, and when it has finished, try opening the door. I hope this helps?

W6444 washing machine door won't close

Try some WD40 spray on the door and lock. Just a bit. Try closing and opening the door. The machine should be in the <off> position.

Hi, I have a zanussi wwashing machine model= ghg1200apm. The door won't open. I plugged out the machine after the wash and when i plugged it in again, the door wont open. Can you help me?

Hi.

The door does not open because there is water inside the machine. To open the door you need to empty the tub first.

To empty the tub disconnect power, open the door at the bottom of the machine's front side, unscrew the drain filter cap and collect water using a container.

Usually that is enough to allow the door to open. If the door does not get released, try running a cycle again.

If still no luck, then the door is locked either because the pressure switch detecting water level is clogged with soap or because the power surge has damaged some component. In that case the machine must be partially disassembled to reach the back of the door opening mechanism. The door latch is reachable either from drain filter access or from top of the appliance.

Emptying water through the drain filter and/or restarting a cycle usually is enough to release the door lock.

Regards.

Model fwt645rhso will agitate but won't drain out, on spin cycle washer spins one way, stops goes back the other way, but water will not drain out. Does not rapidly spin on final cycle. Any...

There's an auxiliary switch in the door lock.switch assembly that is activated at the end of the wash cycle for the machine to advance to the spin cycle. The machine will NEVER advance to the spin cycle unless the auxiliary switch is activated as a safety feature to prevent the door from opening during a high-speed spin cycle that may result in physical injury. The drum tumbles back and forth while the machine control checks the auxiliary if activated but since it's not, the control will not command the motor speed control to spin the drum at high speed. These symptoms may indicate a faulty door lock/switch assembly and may need replacement. When the washing has done with the fanal spin the machine does not go to door open and we cannot open the door

hi the door lock will open providing the water is below a max level. Drum temp is lower than 40 degrees. drum has to stationery. blockages in the draining can cause some water retention to stop unlocking of the door also can retain hot water from the wash with possibility of higher than 40c temp at the end. you should here 2 clicks at the end to unlock the door if the machine is switched off it will unlock after 4 min by a failsafe device. Occaisionally i have known the machine to have hot and cold water pipes reversed causing all the rinses to be in hot water this would also stop the door opening. finally the door lock can be faulty or wiring to itand rarer the electronic itself.hope this helps

Door will not close

Hi,

Make sure you are allowing the washer to completely finish its cycle before opening the door. It is normal for the door to lock at the end of a cycle. The locking mechanism keeps owners from opening the door before all of the water has been drained. If the door on the washer is locked, select the "Drain" or "Spin" options on the front-load washer. This will completely drain the water from the system and unlock the door, allowing you to open it.
Thank you !!
