I have been trying to get the printer to print but it keeps flashing with six orange flashes followed by one green flash on the LED. THe print head does not return to the far right hand side but stops in the middle which is the position where the ink cartridges can be replaced.
It will not even do deep head cleaning or any other functions.
I have tried powering on and off but to no avail. The printer shows a status of ready but when print is selected it fails to print. The cocver is closed and the microswitch that the cover operates appears to be operating correctly. Thrte are new ink cartridges in the print head so this is not the fault and these are all correctly seated.
my problem is exactly the same. the only difference is that I changed one cartridge and refilled the others. Exactly same printer and same problem since ten days: six amber lights followed by one green, and then the same sequence again and again and no answer at any command, even with new cartridges. Power off printer and covers closed
Hold down the Resume button then press and hold POWER, the Green Indicator will
light. While holding down POWER , release RESUME
Double click (2 clicks) RESUME then release BOTH POWER and RESUME and wait
still the printer stops blinking.
When the indicator lights steady, press RESUME three(3) times. The indicator
should be ORANGE.
Press Power to set data

Try counting the number of orange flashes. * two flashes means you’re out of paper or the paper is not feeding correctly. * three flashes means there is a paper Jam or the output tray is closed. * four flashes means the ink tank is empty * five flashes means the print head is not installed correctly or not installed or is defective (before buying a new print head always try the cleaning instructions at the end of this post first.) * six flashes means the inner cover is open or not closed properly. * seven flashes means you counted wrong..... * eight flashes means the waste ink absorber is almost full or full. * nine flashes mean that a digital camera or video that is connected is not compatible with the printer. If a specific amount of time lapses without getting a response from the digital camera or video camcorder this will happen. * ten flashes means it can not print to both sides of the page * eleven flashes means the automatic print head alignment failed. (this can be caused by low ink levels, ink tanks not being installed correctly, the print heads being clogged. 6 orange flashes and 1 green, cartridge is in, well seated in the right slot and the contacts on the cartridge are clean and unblocked, but it still won't print. Any other advice, please. Thanks.

turn the printer off by the socket. hold down the on button and keep held down whilst turning on the socket switch. Then press the button next to the on (i don't know what it is called) , so it goes onto orange then again to get to green. now it should stay on green and print. i hope this i useful
The BJC 3000 will flash two different colored lights in a pattern to signal several different errors. From the documentation I have the two colors are orange and green, could those be the colors you see?
