The cartridge door is to the right of the paper tray. It is hinged like a regular door...open it to the right.

The cartridge carrier should move to the right to access them.

To remove the old ones, press down slightly on the rear of the cartridge and tilt it out. To insert the new one, angle it upward slightly at first then apply pressure down in the front and up on the rear until it clicks into place.

Am trying to install HP 60 ink cartridges in my wife's F4280 printer. They don't seem to easily fit. Is there a readable graphic to assist me?

You have the wrong cartridges, that model uses the 300 or 300XL cartridge http://www.internet-ink.co.uk/hp-ink-cartridges-f4280/

I have a brand new ink cartridge from walmart and my printer which is a Hp deskjet F4280 all in one printer keeps displaying an E. what can be done to get the printer to print normally?

Remove the shipping tape from the cartridge head. Recommend using a genuine HP cartridge - third party cartridges are really not designed for HP printers.

F4280 DeskJet All In One Printer InkJet: There is ink in cartridges, ink light display's em...

First make sure you are placing the right
color cartridge into the right slot.
Most Printers are touchy about the
installation of ink cartridges. If the
instructions say to press the cartridge
into the slot until you hear a loud click,
that's what they mean. If at first you
don't succeed, remove the cartridge and
reinsert it into the slot again and press
on it hard till it clicks.
Then your printer should work properly.
Hope this is of some help. Bud

I have a new HP Deskjet F4280 bought 3 weeks ago & the blank ink cartridge was empty & I refilled it in a store & placed it back but printer recognise that the cartridge is empty & it does not have a chip.

You cannot reset the ink level for the HP 60 ink cartridge. Simply ignore the ink level indicator if you refill your cartridges. It is only an estimate of the ink level anyway. See pg 72 of the user manual.
