Question about Philips J44417 Digital Camera

Philips PJ44416 digital camera

The camera is a couple of years old and there is a new computer I am attempting to download the software on, unsuccessfully. It would not fully load and them stopped even trying to. I have two cameras with the same result. I need both the software and manual downloaded to complete unloading and reuse these cameras. One is a Philips PJ44416 and on is a Gemini J44416. Anything anyone can do to assist me would be great. Thanks.

I just upped the manual over to http://safemanuals.com/ -- it's pending approval, but I'm sure it'll show up just fine once it's approved.

Camera will not turn ON. I changed the batteries but still no change.

Things to check first for a camera that won't turn on are battery contact points, and micro switches that are located on the battery and memory card doors. Troubleshooting tips on other things that need to be checked may be seen here. These tips won't work for every case, but they're worth a try.

Did you try contacting Fujifilm online support? This may be because you have not registered from the new computer to whatever program you are trying to connect. If your problem is about running the software already installed, why not consider using third-part software to download, and edit your photos. picasa for example.

Have old Olympus D-510 and Camedia Master 2.5 Software. Used software back with old Win98, then new computer to Win XP, downloaded update for 2.5 to work with XP. Now have another new computer with...

Your friend is correct...you could cause problems trying to install an old software program on Windows 7 (although it probably would just reject it). Windows 7 sometimes comes with photo editing software already loaded. If not, there are free programs you could download (use Google to find them) or you could come into the 21st century, shell out $99 and buy a copy of Photoshop Elements which will open up a whole new world to you! Does your camera use a memory card? If so, the best way to download is to use a separate card reader. See the picture of one I've included. Also, you might want to consider upgrading to a new camera....The new ones are awsome!

When I bought camera I had Windows XP. New computer has Vista.

So you now have Vista, but the software will not load...

If you have Windows Vista (32-bit), click this link and download the "HP photosmart software and drivers" package. Install by directions.

If you have Vista 64-bit, use this link. Download the "HP photosmart software and drivers" package. Install by directions.

Can't install camera software or download photos

Two options...first you can just let windows detect the pictures on the camera and use a windows based programs to load the pics and print them...or you can google the drivers for your camera model and download them off the web...there may be updated drivers for that camera which would help anyway.

Copy picture to CD after downloading to computer

well as long as your RW's have been erased then I couldn't tell you. But i can point you in the right direction of some better software to use. 1. ACDSee - http://store.acdsee.com/servlet/ControllerServlet?Action=DisplayPage&Locale=en_US&SiteID=acd&id=ProductDetailsPage&productID=69658800 - download a trial and check it out. 2. Nero Photoshow Deluxe - http://www.usnero.photoshow.com/home - my personal pick because Nero is the leader in CD burning technology. Of course your cd burner might be the cause as well. try burning something other than photos to test it. A good reboot after multimedia multitasking is always good as well. hope this helps you. let me know.

PhotoMAX software CD?

# Try inserting a different CD to make sure your CD-ROM drive is working. If the CD-ROM drive cannot read any CD, contact your computer manufacturer -- it's possible that your CD-ROM drive is not working properly. # Make sure the PhotoMAX CD is clean, with no fingerprints, dirt, or smudges. If necessary, you can clean the CD with a lint-free cloth and warm water. Dry with a hairdryer on the cool setting. Make sure the CD-ROM is completely dry before attempting to load it again.
