Panasonic sa-pm08 disc not playing

This DVD player regularly does not play one or more discs in a set of DVDs. It comes up with 1 - 3 zeroes a few times and then NO PLAY. These are pucker Region 2 DVDs and they should play. Why don't they?

SOURCE: CD's will not play

problem with the machine, it's either not reading the disk which would be a laser or the transverse motor or the mechanism isnt loading fully which could be a belt or a bad gear.

My panasonic sa-pt460 surround sound system won't play any new dvds, does not recognise them in the system and says no disc, is this something that can be fixed or just because of the age of the syste

Sounds like it may have a hardware problem, specially if sometimes it plays one disc, and others not (I mean the same disc).

But in any case, check to see if there are any firmware updates from Panasonic, that may fix the not recognising new discs issue.

Usually firmware updates are done by formatting a USB pen with a manufacturer's tool and then booting the unit from that USB.
In some others just leaving the firmware file in the USB, and the unit will pick it up an upgrade.

Panasonic BD35 won't play blu ray discs, but will play dvds

You may have come close to what the issue is---Blu Ray for several design reasons is much more critical than DVD---seen a lot with this issue----either a dirty or a failing optical pickup in the unit---I know as when first started seeing it in our shop changed a few and since under warranty found the answer--optical unit was the problem---shortly after that they started just exchanging the cheaper units.

Can I play Blu Ray discs on a DVD-224 player?

No. Blu Ray media requires a different device technology provided only by Blu Ray players. It will not play on a DVD player.

Dvd player will not read dvds

1 The problem is the dvds disc which you are using are not compatible with your system. Check the the regional code at the back of your dvd cover and check if your dvd player can play those dvds. This information is given in the booklet provided with your system.

Problem with the dve player

You may have to check the options for the player. Some DVD players cannot play formats other than regular DVDs. You can check the options to see if it can be put in a different mode from the normal one, such as progressive scan, which can help it to read DVDs better in some ways. You can also set it up to accept more types than just DVDs, but also DVD-Rs and VCDs. I cannot tell you, without fiddling around with it, whether you will need to take it in to a shop, but that is an option. Once you see about adjusting some of the settings, see if it won't play a DVD.

Panasonic cq-dvr909u

according to the manual it does not support cd-r, lemme copy this section right out of the book

The following discs cannot be played back on this product.
DVD-ROM - DVD-R/DVD-RAM - CD-ROM - VSD - CDV - CD-G - SACD - photo CD - CD-R* - some DTS CD discs - CD-EXTRA (audio-only playback possible) - DVDs with a region number other than "1" or "ALL" - discs recorded in PAL format, others.

(* Because this product has its own reading device, CD-R discs can not be played back.)

If i remember correctly somethin about a dual laser in it or somethin, I feel your pain wish it could but it does come with rca aux input that you can do headphone -> rca jack so you can hookup a mp3 player or laptop or whatever
