D-Link DP 301U Print Server not continuous print from vista

I have a vaio laptop with vista platform.
I have also a HP laserjet M1120 MFP all in one printer.
My print server model no. DP-301U (ver : A1).
When I install the print server then test page printed 'OK'.
But any document I want to print then print only one page and an
information displayed bottom of desktop "print documet failed".
After this, not any one page will print.

Same issue here. I have a desktop with XP that hooked up immediately and printed fine.

My laptop has Vista, settings are exactly the same as the desktop, but when I print, I get a half of a page to print then it stops and says "Error"

Then can't print from the laptop anymore until queue is cleared out. However, even if the documents in the Vista queue are in error, I can still print from the XP desktop.

I have installed the DP-301U print server on my home network to print to an HP Laserjet 4050. When setting up the print server per instruction, I set my computer IP address to a static IP address. The...

Your print server has to have its own IP address. If you have your computer as 198.168.1.1 then your print server would be 198.168.1.2.
You cant have the same IP address on any 2 items on your network.

Printing Problem

i got my dp-301u to work fine with my hp1020 on 2 different workstations with the following steps.

1. install printer locally via usb and test.
2. create a second printer as per the dlink manual creating a port. don't worry about the name as we will delete it.
3. once created go into the properties of the 2nd printer and change the port to something local - anything will do to free up the port.
4. go into the properties of the printer that was created in step 1. and change the port to that of the print server.
5. test print. should work fine.

cheers!!

Using HP Laserjet P1006. Is it compatible with DP-301U

Yes. I just got mine working last night. Key is to enable print services for windows through the control panel. Without that LPR printing does not work.

    Documents not printing

Hi How to check the print server is in the wireless network or not!! Check under the Router Setup page Router's ip address... Check if you are able to ping the Print Server Ip address....Since it the router will assign a ip address from DHCP range.. If you are able to ping the router's ip address and the print server ip address then the print server is in the Wireless LAN... Try the following steps. 1. Go to run and type "cmd" press enter 2. type ipconfig. 3. Check the range of ip address...if its 192.168.0.XX 4. Try pinging that ip address.. 5. If able to ping the router and print server.. Then the wireless network is fine... Somehow some of the printer's don't work with some of the print servers.. Check if D-link does support the printer or not!!!! for this particular model of the router...
