I've had the 5790 for just over two years. All of a sudden, the clean cycle will not end. I have to unplug the razor to get it to stop. I can plug the charger directly into the razor instead of the cleaning device. The razor will charge and will hold a charge as normal. Any ideas? Thanks.

it's generally not a good idea to put really greasy items in a dishwasher along with relatively clean items such as glassware and plates and cutlery, as most recent good quality dishwashers come with a soil sensor that ends the wash cycle once the dishes appear clean, and all the grease from your frying pan will cause the soil sensor to take longer to detect clean water.
Sd is displayed when the machine/motor control, by analyzing drag on the basket, detects a suds-lock condition, and is steady on while the control then runs a mini-clean out cycle. If the clean out cycle is unable to correct the over-sudsing problem, the cycle ends and Sd flashes in the display. This may signify: Excessive detergent usage. Basket cannot engage during drain step. Mechanical friction on drive mechanism, not allowing basket to engage. It sounds like there is something causing a lot of friction and when you plug it in it has a load on the motor and you will get sparks.
Hi John. Try running it through a short clean cycle with the door almost closed. Some models, but not all will recycle this way retracting the locks when the cycle ends. If yours won't try unplugging it overnight and then plugging it back in. At that point the locks may retract, but once again not on all models.

Most dishwashers that begin taking longer to complete the cycle have a failed heating element but that also normally means that the dishes do not get fully clean and the glassware has a film on it after the cycle ends.
please ensure you have removed the plastic plugs from the cleaning fluid container. If you have removed these i would suggest that the fluid contaner is faulty, your place of purchase should exchange this for you with no problem.
