Hotpoint wd63 I need to replace the heatshield on the door of the unit but can't see how to remove the old one. Need advice on how to remove the plastic cover from the outside of the door

Take door off. outer porthole is just clipped into frame. gently prize out with a small screwdriver

Hotpoint Aquarius WD63 door won't open

on some hotpoint models you can remove the front kickplate and on there will be a yellow or green plastic pull toggle, pull this and it will bypass your door lock, if your appliance does not have this then you will need to unplug and leave unplugged for 10-15 mins to reset the door lock, you will however more than likely need a new door lock

Water leaks on spin cycle

Water can leak if there are gaps on the front door gaskets and must be checked but this will happen only during the cycle and not on the drain cycle end.

My machine has the door lock light on and wont start, the door is locked as i have to press the release to open it!

Hi,

Remove the top cover, and release the door catch from inside the washer, you will probably need a screwdriver or similar to do do this.You will need to replace the door catch and spring, and possibly the door lock, as it may break when you force the door open.

How do i remove rubber seal on hotpoint washing machine for getting in to door lock

No need to remove seal.
Remove top cover, undo 2 screws securing door lock. and reach down inside the washer to access the door lock.. This is the easy to do it.

Hotpoint WD63 not spinning correctly

Two things to check.
Remove rear cover.
Remove large black hose onto drum
Remove and clean filter inside hose.

Next--remove top cover and check the brushes in the motor, if they are less than 3 or 4 mm long, then replace them.

No power??

It's more than likely its the door lock, if not check the timer contacts on the top front connection block, if they have blown it will need a timer & door lock

Jammed soap drawer

hiya
yes the screws are behind the soap drawer, will the drawer not open at all? if not then the only way would be to force it open and the chances are it will break and need replacing. if it opens about 2/3's of the way try pressing the thin blue locking tab in the middle of the two channels and pulling.

Replacing door hinge wd63

Hi there is a plastic band around the rubber seal to take it off you would need a small screwdriver and prise it open gently than lift off the rubber and replace the door switch to put back the band just push clip the two ends together when it is around the rim
