Sorry to bother you but Ive been trying to find information with no sucess for the values of the output caps to the 4 cffl's in a Liquid Video A170E101 Monitor's inverter/power board also the one xformer is open and needs to be replaced. I took readings on all the output caps going to the CFFL's and they all appreard open w/ a ohm meter.
it has a inverter board Sumida IV90110/T a 19v input. I also wonderd if the transformers could be replaced with the piezo kind and would a lot have to be modifyed for that type to work? All of the caps are surface mount I desoiderd 2 of them. I am not sure if they are ceramic multi-layer caps i just have to look at them in a magnifying light these have no values on them at all. I hope you can help me I can pay you for the info if I get it to work too. I am a maintenance / tech person I understand electricty not too much electronics but i can fix some of those problems.
Hello, what is the numbers on the board you have and what revision is it? I have a non working monitor that powers up but has a bad raster board which displays vertical gray bands on the screen. power bd,inverter bd case, screen, and control bd are all in good cond.I may be able to get you a value on the caps or sell you the unit for spare parts. I am not going to repair this unit like I normally would most others.spuds619 [email protected]

Back - light problem. Check and replace damaged component/s at its back-light inverter board, or replace this board as card basis. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Surf the site with patience. Pull up older posts. It will be best to replace the inverter board as card basis. http://electronicshelponline.blogspot.com/
To some model sets; especially LED back-lighted types; the back-light inverter circuit will be part of the main power supply board [SMPS]. In such cases, the power supply board might need replacement. To some models sets, the back-light inverter and SMPS section circuit will be integrated at its main board itself. If so; the main board should be replaced. To some models of sets, all these section circuit will be integrated at its main board. If this is the case, you have to replace the main board.
1.first of all check, there is any beep sound when u power on your system. 2.just replaced RAM and checked. 3.replaced SMPS of system and checked. 4.just removed processor and processor fan,and refit it.
just follow above step one by one.find your cause for your problem to resolve.
if the sounds still there and no back-light that is inverter board if have back light its t-con board.. if the above mention are all out..
That problem is usually cause of faulty capacitors on the power supply board..
Just follow this instruction to fix your TV..
1. Open the back cover of your TV. 2. Look at the power supply board..Its normally connected to the power cord.. 3. After that,,try to look at the actual image of capacitors if it is bulged on the top so that you can easily determine the bad capacitors.. 4. After that,,try to replaced the bad capacitors using soldering iron and soldering lead..replaced the capacitors only with the same type ratings and value.. 5. Some of the capacitors not bulged so its better if have a capacitance meter
Yes, inverter circuitry is combined in one board together with the power supply circuitry. It is beside the connectors of the power supply board to the mainboard. You can see two high voltage transformers, these are the one producing high voltage feeding the bulbs...
Your problem is caused by the bad Inverter board. Inverter board is the
one that responsible for the back-light which is causing by not having a
picture...If you don't have a back-light your TV it is of course no
picture but everything is good specially the sounds.. The best you can
do is to do the following:
...First is to open the back part of your tv so that it could open.
...then find/look for the inverter board. If you are not familiar with it
you can find it on the you tube by typing "how to replace inverter
...then Just replace the inverter board with the same type & value
to fix your problem...
I hope this information will be helpful...If you have any clarification
or other query just add a comment..
Thanks for using fixya..
There is a fuse on these things at the back of the case. Could be in a slide out plastic holder, or in a round holder with a knurled screw or bayonet type cap. If this fuse is not blown, then the news is not good.
It sounds like you have a power supply problem, this powers the inverter! Where you just replaced the inverter, we could assume it is good! Look for
some bad caps (capacitors) on the power supply board. They will look bulged on the
top an may be a little leaky (brownish stain). The power supply can fail on some output and be good on others. Was the back light inverter new? If all else fails, see if you can return the back light inverter and get another! I hope this is helpful!!
