Hi, every now and then, when I want to print, it always jams at the point where the paper is going into the printer. It doesn't actually jam, but its like it hasn't fully begun entering the printer if you catch my drift. It always happens the first time I want to print something, I just take the paper out again, and resume. It then begins to print. It doesn't seem like a major problem, but its very annoying. Can anyone tell me why it may be doing that?
Just in case you don't know where the rollers are in the paper cassette...remove the paper cassette drawer and he rollers are at the top of the entrance to the drawer. There are two rollers, grasp one between your fingers and gentle pull the roller down to see the mechanism better. Rotate both rollers and you may find a build up of dirt/grime on either or both. Simple clean them with an appropriate wet cleaner & lint free cloth.

The paper must be hitting something to cause it to jam. Take the drum/toner cart out also the paper tray. Unplug it and hold it upside down and see if something shakes out. Do not do this over carpet. If that does not do try a test page. look at the leading edge for dings and bends. If you find a bent spot on the leading edge thats where the problem is. Its almost always a small piece of paper
i think u might have used ur printer without paper often . unplug the printer from system and switch it off.Replug it again on the system ant switch it on and see. Even then if it is not printing uninstall the drivers for printers and reinstall again and print.
I've experienced this in the past and found a paper jam in the back feed roller and had to take the unit apart to retreave document. Try doing this (only if no longer under warranty) there are a few screws in the front and it should be able to come off easily.
Some questions first:
-Where in the paper path is it jamming?
-Is it always in the same spot or does it vary?
-Roughly how many pages have you printed with this printer?
-Did anything lead up to this or has it progressively gotten worse?
