Check the Connections on the Reciever Before you go Shopping. Take a Picture or Two with your Cell with you and Match them up with the Connectors on the new Blue Ray Player Before you Purchase it.

Why not leave the audio into the TV via HDMI from the Bluray and then optical audio out from TV to the home theater audio system? Same as the hook up for the cable box. The SC-
PT660 only has one optical audio connector so your solution may not be feasible assuming he's also got a cable box connected to the TV.

SOURCE: i have a samsung ps50c7000 and a c5900 3d blu ray
I would recommence the BOSE Cinemate II. It is 599.90 has an optical in or an analog in, You would want to use HDMI from XBOX to tv, and from bluray player to tv using HDMI, Then optical cord running from TV to Cinemate.
Currently, all three video game consoles on the market are compatible with Netflix "Watch Instantly:" Sony Playstation 3, Microsoft Xbox 360 and Nintendo Wii. Many new models of high-definition Blu-Ray disc players already have Netflix applications. Several different manufacturers include this application, from high-end brands like Philips and Panasonic to generic brands like Vizio and Insignia. These players often include other popular internet applications, such as Facebook and Pandora Internet Radio. Also, new TiVo digital video recorder models have a built-in Netflix application. All you will have to do is run the Netflix application from the TV menu screen and you will be able to watch streaming Netflix movies and TV.
