Kodak 5300 AiO Printing Preferences VERY SLOW to RESPOND How do I speed up the responce time?

Try to check if you meet the minimum requirements to run AIO Home Center, or you can try to upgrade the memory of your computer, is it slow only when you are loading Home Center? Or is it doing the same thing on any other software in your computer

Ubuntu driver needed

Kodak does not support their printers on any Unix platform. The Open Printing site lists a driver that works for some of the features of the EasyShare 5300 all-in-one: http://www.openprinting.org/printer/Kodak/Kodak-EasyShare_5300 . This provides a link to a SourceForge project with a CUPS driver for Kodak AIO printers: http://cupsdriverkodak.sourceforge.net/ .

(Even though my HP printers have Unix drivers available, I haven't tried them. I use Unix in a LiveCD mode and haven't made a custom LiveCD.)

My kodak inkjet 5300 aio printer is printing garbled again! THIS WILL BE THE THIRD TIME FOR A PRINTHEAD REPLACEMENT. WHAT IS UP????

Atleast Kodak is trying its best and helping the customers by improving its technologies and manufacturing process everyday. If you would have an Hp they would ve stopped supporting your out of warranty printer right now. Visit www.kodak.com/go/itg and follow the step by step process .Get a printhead free of cost is you still facing any problems.

My KodakEasy Share 5300 will not print in black.

92b8b47.jpgThe Kodak AiO printers 5000 series and ESP series PRINTHEADs has orange protective cap that need to be remove to fit on the printer carriage. For the ink cartridges 7b91cbc.jpgthere is also a orange protective cap.
Issue that its not printing black and deep clean and removing the printhead and reinstalling the printhead (reseating printhead) is already done and still no black when printing. The printhead should be replace. For futher assistance call 1 800 421 6699 Kodak AiO printer support line

You MAY not need a new printhead... it's possible that it could be the printer. If you go through the troubleshooting guide on the Kodak website, it will give you a good indication of what the problem could be (printer or printhead) and offer the solution on how to resolve.

Just replaced Printhead on my AiO 5300

from what i know, kodak already released an imkproved and upgraded version of their printhead so i guess you dont need to worry about that anymore.

Printing

1-Deep clean and calibrate the printhead
2-Try a firmware update @ www.kodak.com/go/downloads
3-Try a removal and reinstall of the printhead and inks
If all this fails, call Kodak Aio support : 1-800-421-6699 (USA)

2 Problems: 1) Unable to get printer to print from desktop; 2) Kodak SW won't install on laptop

Download and install the new software and printer firmware from kodak.com (link below - firmware and software is the same for all the 5000 units). Do not use the CD, and Uninstall all previous versions before installing the new software you download from the site.
