Question about Mitsubishi WS-65411 65" Rear Projection Television

Open Question

Glare We just moved into a home that has alot of windows. Can't see the program due to the glare. Do you have any suggestions? The previous owner took off the screen protecter (I guess that is what it is) And it works. Also, sometimes the tv will start blinking, but when we have the menu button it stops blinking... Also we live in the desert, so the dust is well huge... Should I be cleaning anything.... Mucho Thanks Debi

SOURCE: glare-can we remove plasting sheeting on screen?

yes, you need a philips screwdriver, pull the speaker grill off, remove the 4 or 5 screws along the bottom of the screen assembly, unlock the 2 electrical plugs and remove them from their ties, lift up on the screen assembly and remove it. turn it upside down and remove the 4 screws holding the bottom of the frame on, remove frame bottom, slide screen protector out, re-assemble, bingo, no glare.

Reflection off of screen

Plasma TV's are known for their glare and reflection issues, you can still fix it by buying a third party anti-glare filter and applying it on your television. For example, "ViewGuard" makes filters that goes up to 65" in size. It is not cheap though, depending on the size of your television.
Of course, the best solution is to adapt your room accordingly. If the glare is caused by the sun light coming from the windows, installing curtains on your windows or moving your television to a better spot is a very effective way to reduce the glare and the reflections on your television.
If the glare is caused by the room's lights, the best solution is to install ceiling spot lights with a dimmer.

Hope that helps!

Glare from laptop

LOL, not much you can do about the glare unless you buy some type of cover that goes over the screen.

Have you tried darkening the screen by using your keyboard keys that controls the brightness and darkness? Usually they work in conjunction with the FN function key.

Reflection and glare on a 55'' Mitsubshi projection TV

I have the same problem with my Mitsubishi and the only solution I have come up with is slightly moving the TV's angle so the reflection is not as bad and closing drapes or curtains. Also turn off lamps. This is a poor design but Mitsubishi is not the only TV that has this type of problem. It is something I have become accustomed to and do not notice it as bad since I have moved the TV angle.

Glare is too much for my eyes, need a glare guard.

You can purchase a glare guard from 3m, available from cdw, tigerdirect, dell, 3m etc.
The price ranges from around $53 to $90 but you might find cheaper.
This is one model but there are several

Can,t see screen in day light due to glare

No, there is not a replacement screen avaliable that will be any different than the one that you currently have.

Try and turn the brightness up a little bit, or all the way  if you have too. That should help with the glare in the sun. If it is mounted in your car, try and mount it in a place that the sun will not be shining on it so directly.

Screen glare on acer 5610-4610

I'm not sure what either of those suggestions would have to do with glare on the screen.
Could you try to describe, in detail, what this "glare" is that you are talking about?
Thanks!
